Of course they did. I can't remember the last time we beat the jazz in a playoff series.

I don't think so. Despite what many people on this board believe, it's possible to tank while at least making the game look competitive. Plus, I think intentionally playing like crap the game before the playoffs start is bad for momentum.

Well, when we do beat them in the playoffs, we win a championship. Happened in '94 and '95.

The two championship seasons were the only series we've won against the Jazz.

Of course it was a tank job, I mean they sat Deron Williams and he looked 100% saying he had a groin injury or some crap.

They could have tanked or it just could have been a reminder of how badly they got punked down by the Spurs in the WC Finals last year. You take your pick.

Dumb question, if they did win, they would still play us, except with Utah having a Home Court advantage.

they might have tanked but if they won they'd have homecourt against the spurs which is HUGE to them. hard to say.

SA had much to play for and it was pretty much a foregone conclusion that they would win handily.

BUT - THE JAZZ MADE A HUGE MISTAKE IN BEING SATISFIED WITH US.

    TRUST ADELMAN.

It's obvious they tanked. The Rockets are the most underestimated team in the west right now. They just don't realize it.

It's no secret that every team in the West wants to play Houston or Denver in the first round, and for good reason.

I think they did so they play us because they beat us last year and they think they are a better team than last year.

You can see the tank job in their minutes played:

    Code:
    Andrei Kirilenko, SF	25
    Carlos Boozer, PF	27
    Mehmet Okur, C 23
    Ronnie Brewer, SG	20
    Deron Williams, PG	19
    Paul Millsap, PF	25
    Matt Harpring, SF	13
    Ronnie Price, PG	17
    Kyle Korver, SF 21
    C.J. Miles, SG 8
    Jarron Collins, C	18
    Jason Hart, PG 13
12 guys play, and no one plays more than 27 minutes. Those are the earmarks of a tank job.

That simply cannot be true. Why would a team give up the right to have home court in the first two rounds, just to play the Rockets in the first. Whats the point, even if you think you can beat the Rockets without homecourt in the first round, you're going to be on the road again in the 2nd round. Chances of the Jazz being eliminated by the 2nd round are extremly high being the worst road team in the playoffs. They would have had a better chance to advance with homecourt in the first 2 rounds beating the Spurs and then possibly the Mavs.
