hey, i'm pretty stoked (cuz i just finished painting the emblem), just wanted to know if you guys liked what i've done to it or what.

    Straight out of the dealership:

    Now:

just took off all the lettering and painted the front emblem black.

next up: lowering 2 inches in the front and 3 in the back...then K&N Filter Intake Performace Kit...then Hypertech III Power Programmer. but yeh, those will all be later this year.

what do you think of what i've done...and plz feel free to post any mods you've done to your vehicle.

Though I hate Chevys, it looks real good.

Been lookin' for a Lightning grille for my 99 Ranger for some time now...can't seem to find one. Not really trying too hard though.

Man that's real awesome; this is off topic and I don't want to derail focus from your truck, but here's the Mustang I've been working on since last August and it's FINALLY drivable (not great, but it works). Not a great pic, but still proof from this afternoon when I was washing it:

Why couldn't my dad have gotten the fastback or Shelby? :(

Mooch, that's an awesome car, looks very sharp. my cousin has one like it that's red, one family owned like yours. his runs alright, but doesn't look near as sharp as yours. i love those old stangs.

That's a sharp truck 3814 ~ same with the Mustang Mooch.

There was a GT 350 for sale on 6th street in Austin the other day, I just sat there and stared with my jaw hanging open. :D

3814, when are you going to learn to remove the License plates from your picture?

I am going to find you.

haha...man, i know some people think it's a big deal. but i don't really care. you can find people no matter what...why hide? go to cardomain .com, there's hundreds if not thousands of people with pics of their vehicles with the license plate. just drive down the road, there are people with their plates showing. i don't have much to hide, so why waste my time photoshopping it?

A few more mods to consider:

Bambi Bars up front, Cowboy pipes in the back, and maybe one more set of headlights...

    ;)

Well thanks for the gratitude towards the Mustang; it's an alright car. Definitely a daily driver more so than a show, so I might modernize it a bit. Maybe power brakes and steering; air conditioning would be nice.

You can see that I've got a magnetic cowl cover since there's the very famous rust and leak under the dash. I've gotta get that repaired soon (either plastic and silicone or get someone to weld a patch). The paint needs some touch up as well every few spots.

Of course I need to get it past 50 first; that's the highest it's been in 11 years of dormancy. At least it works. Now I'm going to order the last shipment for a while; brake line switch, parking brake cable, maybe a new solenoid, and a dome ourtesy light and bezel since I cracked the original one yesterday when I cleaned it. I probably need a new clutch and the carpets could be replaced eventually.

And Bama....well it's definitely a favorable schedule; Croyle's due for a breakout year, the Castille brothers might show some bright flashes. It might just turn out well but all depends on how quickly Shula learns when and not to call the right plays. He was just so inexperienced last year, especially the Tennessee and Arkansas OT games; man they were crushing.

Overall I think they've improved and are more comfortable with full workouts under Shula for the first time. When people have asked me I've been generous and said 7-4 which is definitely possible. Tennessee and LSU are almost definitely losses; Ole Miss probable, but I want to see how they can survive without Manning. The key games will be Arkansas, South Carolina, and Mississippi State (the return of Croom).

    Oh, and Auburn...

UAB should be good as well.

I would say around seven or eight wins with the defensive line especially and the rest of the starters dodging the injury bug. If several of the defensive line guys go down....watch out. It might get ugly. I'd say they can beat UcheaT, but I think Arkansas, South Carolina, Miss. State, Utah State, Western Carolina, Kentucky and Southern Miss are definitely winnable, Auburn is possibility winnable and LSU....well, I just hope they avoid a blowout.

I'd definitely get some A/C put in that 'Stang if you're going to use it as a daily driver in S. FL. You'll need it year round!

As for my Bandit replica Trans Am, she has been completed for about two months now and I recently added a good A/C system. I've got the Boorlas sounding like there is a 400 cubic inch motor under the hood rather than the LT1 350 ripped out of a wrecked Corvette. It looks just like Burt's car from the movie, right down to the fire chicken on the hood (God that huge decal was an absolute b**** to put on, the most difficult part of the restoration!) and it looks and runs great. I put the old Pioneer with the XM radio from my truck in the car with a Bazooka sub and it sounds great (It's probably the only 70's Trans Am with a XM antenna). I drove it up to Greenville for Falcons' camp and when I stopped any where, I got all kinds of compliments. My wife wasn't thrilled with the idea of adding yet another car to our little motor pool, but when she found out how little it really set me back and she got to drive it for the first time (lighting up the tires is tremendously easy in that car), she has dropped her concerns.

Wow that is awesome. I've joked about putting a 429 in mine down the road....yeah right.;)

I'm going to drive it a bit (as in around the block) in the next few days (not really street legal since the rear lights are kind of messed up; it just might have to do with the spliced wires under the dash...), so I might get a few seconds of MPG hosted at some point.

Oh and I didn't mention this (as it's kind of random), but when we were driving down to Savannah yesterday (just got back a couple hours ago after stopping to see the Chihuly thing at the ATL Botanic Gardens today; nice I guess), I swear I saw Representative McKinney's pale blue Jaguar on I-20. The tag was 'MCKINNI' from Gwinnett county with a BMW and Caddy entourage going, ooohh, at least 105.
