1. Mo in the high post, Steve cutting...It never worked, but at least it was something new. Oh yeah, and it's good to see Mo actually getting some deserved PT, if only he'd pass out of double teams... 2.Did you see Cat jack up ill-advised shots or be really selfish? I didn't. Mostly open 3s set-up or penetration. This is one game, but who knows? Don't forget Cat's defense. I know, I know Kobe went off AGAIN, but I still think Cat played great defense including that strip in the end of the game and forcing Kobe into some very tough shots. 3. Can we defend the damn pick and roll EVER? This was a problem in the very first game with Yao and has not gone away. Remember when Marbury broke Yao's knee? That should have taught us, DON't SWITCH. Kobe repeatedly coming off the pick with tons of time to shoot. This is one of our biggest defensive concerns. Yao cannot switch at this point of his career, or maybe ever. So someone better hedge, or go over the pick or else we will be screwed. 4. More ball movement, at least sometimes, for example when Hawk came in and hit that 3. Not to state the obvious, but our offense works so much better when Steve gives up the ball right after he crosses half-court. Didn't our offense work so much better in the first OT when it was all Yao all the time. But you all knew that, so whatever... 5. Yao got a TON of "touches," however right now I don't think Yao should touch the ball unless he's remotely close to the paint, especially when smaller, aggressive players i.e. Najera, Walker(can't believe I'm saying that) are bothering him so much. And Yao, hold the ball up high, and hold it tight please. And don't fade-away unless Shaq is guarding you. Have you ever thought about when we move the ball from PG on top of 3 line to the left wing (Posey last night, but sometimes Mo) and then to Yao, if the PG set a back screen on left wings man, we'd have alot more open cutters, and alot less Yao stuck out 20 feet away. Did you all notice any other changes? Obviously Rudy doesn't make any drastic changes like running O through Yao +50% of time, but any slight changes?
