Sadly, it was a good call. He missed getting it off by maybe one or two tenths of a second. Bummer. That didn't piss me off as much as... 1. Torres getting wiped out on an offensive rebound. 2. Murray getting the basket PLUS the (phantom) foul to give them the lead. 3. Francis getting mauled on the second to last basket and not getting any call. Ugly.
That was a good call. But it was only apparent in slow motion... If the refs are good enough to catch that, then why didn't they see the four offensive fouls that the Cavs committed on the earlier possession - and call a phantom foul on that possession??? The Rockets got robbed. Absolutely f*ing horrible officiating. They got robbed.
Close call. The reffs decided the game. Tons of no calls at the other end, then a knick knack foul gets called. No call for Francis. Shot was too close to call. Horrible officiating.
Agreed it was close but he did not make it. However Refs owed us a call for that one at the other end that was never called in favor for us. Clearly this is again another reason refs need to be punished for mistakes that are crucial. Bring back 1 instant replay call per game per team just 1 Football does it works well if you ask me.
I couldn't figure out the entire fourth quarter WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO BE GUARDING RICKY DAVIS??? *as always, IMHO - pls do your own due diligence*
Unfortunately the call was correct on Francis' shot. Lots of offense, but about the worst example of team defense (both ways) I've seen in a long time. With all our injuries, migraines, food poisoning, you name it, I still see very little commitment to defense
Look, If we play defense for at least half the game we blow out the Cavs.... I can't believe that they scored so many points on us...our guards are terrible on defense... One day...the young ones will learn that if you stop the other team from scoring, that is a good way to win. DaDakota
Our "young" guards have been playing horrible defense for two years. Why will it ever change? The Rockets will go nowhere until they hire a defensive-minded coach, or bring in some defensive specialists. Hell, the Rockets have been playing awful defense since 1997.
Stevie's shot was just a little bit too late... I think our players need to really take a look at the clock before a play starts... it seems as if he didn't realize there were only like 5 seconds left... not to mention it looked like he fumbled the ball... Somehow, I wonder if Stern, in some dark room with all the league refs, didn't say, "well refs, let's do it again this year... we will screw the Rockets with bad calls, phantom calls and no calls! Now get out there and call a fair game!" muwahahahaa --evil laugh-- rH
