Down 2, Harden decides he wants to be the hero and bricks two contested threes, leading to the Blazers scoring both times, then for good measure, he gets picked pocketed to seal the game right after. Not a good look for him on national TV.
He did score a little but the overall game was not good. It is going to be a crucial stretch. I hope the MVP is still up for grabs and close. Barring any injuries, expect Russ WB to play his best basketball and perhaps most selfish one.
His rep has taken a hit for sure, we know how fickle the media is and all they will remember is what happened most recently...if Rockets come out flat tomorrow and Harden looks like a chump I can see Harden losing the MVP lead.
Yep that was a duuuumb move. He's all hell bent on playing most of these games when it is clear his hand is messed up. Sit the guy down.
The MVP award will go down to the wire, but this loss hurt. Harden was awful in crunch time. He's better off not playing than forcing the issue and embarrassing himself on national TV.
Lol, did he ever have a chance? The people voting for Westbrook say the only thing that matters is the triple double, with that logic Harden never had a shot.
Bad thread is bad. But if we want a decent reasonable conversation I'm not fond of Harden being in love with the pull up3 at the end of the game situations. He does it often and he hasn't been that efficient at it this year. Specifically tonight, we were down just one bucket. No need for the hurried 3 right there. I like it much better when he drives and finishes/kicks/lobs. I'm also a big fan of him bringing out the mid-range post up step back jumper at end of game situations. I understand he was probably hesitant with his wrist but it sucks when he is shooting so poorly.
This game definitely did not help. Westbrook has been a monster in the clutch recently, and Harden wet the bed in the 4th on national TV. missed threes, turnovers, getting his shot blocked...it was really bad
If Rockets don't win the next one, Harden is no longer a candidate. Rockets have not lost 3 games in a row this year, next game speaks volume on votes.
All these btch ass, always has to create these thread after we lose. CALM YOUR t*** down it's just one game. We still missing Anderson.
I know that the game was technically on national tv, but let's not bullshit...... only a handful of people stayed up to watch that game.
We should not overreact but Anderson is not exactly someone you would mention as a consistent cornerstone.
