Might be an interesting read, actually. I've always declared myself an agnostic because I could never answer the question of what created the infinitely tiny/dense mass that expanded to form the universe, but if Hawking really has a plausible explanation for how that expanding mass came to be initially, I'm all ears. But reading sucks, so I probably won't read it. Is there a Cliff's Notes?
I've always thought, we are just puppets with someone pulling our strings and I just don't want to piss off the person pulling those strings.
Does he have a better theory than his continuous boundary limits explanation of the Big Bang, and it's requirement for imaginary time, or is he going back to theories with no basis in reality?
I believe this more than "god created everything!" see that's what is great about science. We're always learning something new and it's never definite. Not like christianity or any other religion: God is always the answer!
Why are people so obsessed with the idea that there has to be a beginning and end to everything? I believe time and space are infinite. There is no beginning and no end. Why is it so engraved in stone that EVERYTHING has a beginning? And that the only limits we draw are the ones that we can consciously observe when in truth there might be no limits at all.
