That's what is being alleged by some (Tim Pool on Joe Rogan's podcast for one). He did have a run in with a cyclist while he was supposedly locked down in his basement being quarantined. He had his wife and children with him too, according to Pool. I'm pretty harsh on CNN. But c'mon... would they stoop to this?

So my outrage at 50,000+ deaths is fake? What makes you say that? Would you say the same to people in the 1960s and 70s who were angered by the rising death toll in Vietnam? Those who were angered by rising death counts in Iraq? Or is anything that you don't personally find outrageous "fake"? It's a question of scale. I'm a lot more upset at 50,000 dead Americans, and the factors that may have led them to their untimely deaths, than I am about the personal behavior of a cable news host.
There are 100's of other threads posted here on the D&D during the current pandemic. I don't know why you're picking this one to draw a line in the sand. Nowhere in THIS thread do I mention the deaths. But somehow you took a thread not related to the rising death tolls and made it about you and how outraged you are that I had the gall to post a thread about CNN's start anchor possibly faking 'his story' for ratings. How dare I?...The nerve.... I call that #fakeoutrage Start a thread about the death rate and how's it's surpassing the Vietnam war's American death toll. Then what you are saying would be relevant.
Leave me out of it. I'm not outraged by your thread, faux or otherwise. I wasn't familiar with the story, looked it up because of your thread, and discovered it was a nonstory. Mostly replied to supply your thread a link. But, I'll ask, do you think there's a scandal here, and what exactly is it?
I wasn't happy reading CNN's "Analysis" page for the first time. It's just some random schmo in a suit straining for witty comebacks rather than some sitdown with real experts debating pros and cons to an issue. They successfully rebranded McLaughlin group style tactics into one person and on a more pathetic level... But yeah, why this topic is even a discussion is on the level of how pathetic discourse has become. Chris Cuomo and most shows like his are news entertainment and have been since the 90's. I don't think this even qualifies as conspiracy theory. Everyone on TV is trying to get ratings.
Sorry. I accidentally quoted you in the response. I honestly don't know if there is a scandal there because I don't know the truth. I created the thread because CNN has become the Fox News of the left, IMO. Nothing new there. But if they faked his quarantine and made a such show of it, I suppose it's scandalous. Nothing to get outraged about, but newsworthy. I guess there would be a different reaction on this forum if it were Sean Hannity. @AleksandarN I don't know what 4chan is. Is that some kind of chatroom or something?
Conspiracy theory without evidence about CNN and the FakeNews media..... YADONTSAY!!! Honestly though, even if he did, who cares? And it would be a freaking massive risk for him to take career wise if there was any evidence to prove otherwise.
If you are getting your news from sources like the one you linked to I find it highly improbable you really don't know what 4Chan is, but just in case you need to know what kind of place it is, just note that this site and it's companion site 8 Chan is basically where all mass shooters go to post their manifestos. I also have an "acquaintance" who like to show clips of girls dancing drunk and pooping their pants that he gets from 4Chan. Real great place to get your news from.
