and he still didn't get a call and when they went for the jumpball, Okur grabbed him as well and when he backed him down, Okur went flying like he got hit by a truck Its hilarious how the announcers in the United States defend the referees by saying they're some of the best in the world.
Seriously... Artest needs to tell Yao to let a few elbows fly... suspended... who cares... come playoff time... the ref's will be worse...
I was watching the jazz feed on leaguepass This game was classic Utah jazz, constant hacking, I hate them all
NBA refs f**king blind man because the Jazz are a bunch of floppers and the refs are buying into it. Yao only make a little contact the Jazz are flying and the refs (being stupid) always feel sorry for the guy that fly.
The refs should take a look at their handy work, see Yao's arm is literally black and blue. Yao should start wearing the elbow pads like the Dream.
The Jazz foul on every play. Sloan tells them to foul on every play because the Refs won't call it every play. I loved how when they played the Lakers in the playoffs last season they were embarrassed as the Lakers shot about 40fts a game. Once again, they will pay for it in the playoffs as the Playoffs has the best refs.
Off this subject somewhat, I thought I saw Yao start to make progress with his back to the basket while Okur was pinned behind him and swatting at the ball. I don't know if it's an offensive foul or what but Yao started angling and using his off arm effectively against the swatting of his defender. It happened several time down the floor and he didn't commit a turn over because he protected the ball better.
This is exactly the point I was trying to point out during the game thread. The Lakers beat Jazz by constantly driving HARD to the basket and forcing the Ref to make calls. Unfortunately some of our players do not like to go hard to the basket. Lowry was going hard to the basket when me made that run. I think Ron can also take it hard to the basket but for some reason he always seems to settle for long range jumpers on off balance jumpers.
Jerry Sloan is a dirty Coach in as much he teaches old style dirty tactics and his players get away with it. How is this so ? Considering this I believe that the Jazz are a dirty team and have been like that ever since Sloan took over as Coach .
I have never seen a guy that bruised up, or maybe because he has lighter skin color than most of the players in the NBA, either way Yao is getting hacked and it needs to stop.
When Yao fights for position whether it be for post position or rebonding position, guys will grab him by the arm to keep him from going for the ball. When he gets the ball they just swipe at him relentlessly. Yao's only defense against this type of play is to be physical back, but unfortunately thats what gets him in to foul trouble.
the officiating was a joke in this game. Not making excuses for missed FTs and such, but horrible officiating and missed FTs cost the rox the game.
