in crunch time, yao HAS to step it up, esp when we make it to the playoffs. This has happened very too often, and esp during the last plays, where do we exactly go. Ron isnt the best playmaker, and brooks and wafer are too inexpierenced. Yao really has to take leadership in the last 5min and demand the ball and make teams surround him and hopefully others can make the open shot.

Also another issue i saw, is why do we suck so much after time outs? Is RA the worst coach in play calling after timeouts? we've seen this several times on the last second of the shot, we freeze up and settle for a bad shot.

One factor to keep in mind was that Yao played I think the entire 4th quarter. He may have been tired.

But in playoff basketball, the stars will be relied on to play big minutes.

the only way we're going to get past the first round is if we face portland or denver b/c those teams are younger, less talented, and isn't mentally stronger than us.

we'll lose to every other team.

The important thing is to stop expecting one person to do everything.

Time and time again the Rockets play so well through the first three and a half quarters and then decide to go completely away from what was working. Stop throwing it to one person and expect him to make the play. There still needs to be some movement. Keep running the offense.

We can beat Dallas and New Orleans. Both are playing some mediocre ball.

So can Yao really carry us in the 4th qtr when we need him to in the playoffs? That is the question.

You blame that on Yao? They were fronting him. That's an Adelman and team problem to figure out a way to take advantage of that or to be able to swing around and get Yao open. It's not Yao's fault the team couldn't figure out how to get him the ball.

We'll figure that out. We had been doing really good with it. I think one problem might be that AB isn't quite used to having to run the offense down teh stretch and so guys weren't in the position they needed to be. But they'll figure it out.

Outside of the Lakers and maybe the Spurs this team can beat any team in the 1st round.

i'm just saying that b/c we barely beat the mavs by 4 pts with dirk sucking to the lowest level.

yet today the spurs blew them out without duncan and manu.

i'm just being realistic. we have got to play better.

Is Yao the only guy in the NBA that gets fronted? The fact of the matter is that Yao can get taken out of games way too easily for this team to ever be considered a legitimate threat to go deep in the playoffs.

Why do we suck after timeout?? The same reason for many many freaking time i post on this board which is Rick Adelman pulling Yao out in place of Chuck Hayes even though we're up by 4. Why the hell he keeps doing that?? So that opponents can score easily inside without Yao blocking and without taking much time off?? Why couldn't he just keep the same damm lineup with Yao protecting the basket and make the Blazers shoot jump shot. I mean who's to say the Blazers are going to make jumpshots?? If they miss one...game over! Would you rather have them taking jumpshot or an easy layup for 2?? Seriously...this is the same shyt i seen Adelman doing it OVER AND OVER again in the last minute ...and it is why the opponents get back into the game and almost win it. Why the f*** he keeps doing that?? Someone need to wake him up and let him know about this because he keeps doing it.

Too many flaws in that logic to determine whether or not a team can beat other teams in the playoffs.

i think we can beat the lakers maybe not the spurs. and i think NOH will give us problems as well as Utah. otherwise we should be able to beat any other team.
