DAMN! I missed it again!! [IMG] Someone please inform me when Simpsons comes on or if there's a site online to download episodes. There are sites that let your download full episodes for South Park, my favorite one is www.fleish.org or www.kennyskingdom.com Any sites like that for Simpsons or Futurama?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but has the Simpsons this season resorted to a LOT of sex/bathroom humor?

I noticed it in the last few episodes, though I can't remember many instances, but last night there was Marge implying sexual positions at the circus, making Chief Wiggum look like he was peeing in the snow (and one of his assistants "holding it to shake the last few drops"), plus the "ball sack" joke (though it had me in tears)...

Just seemed as if it's slowly heading towards the "Family Guy" humor. The Simpsons to me has never really needed it... no biggie, just wondering if I'm the only one who noticed.

Clutch>> I thought the same thing myself. To me, this toilet humour seems out of place on the Simpsons. I hope this episode was just an isolated case and that it isn't the start of a new trend.

You forgot when groundskeeper Willy told Skinner that he quit and said that Skinner "wouldn't have his Willy to slap around anymore"

good point bobrek -- I knew there was another one.

I love the Simpsons -- am a long-time fanatic. I've liked a lot of this year's episodes also, but I definitely have noticed that difference ... wish they'd just drift back to the style they've always had (OK, first season excluded).

Clutch, first three seasons were horrible.

I think the last few seasons, including this one, have had the perfect mix of social commentary and potty humor, I just think you tend to notice the potty humor more.

The first 3 seasons were horrible?!? You're crazy, Rm95.

    From Season 3:
    Bart the Murderer
    Flaming Moe's
    Saturdays of Thunder

Those are definitely some of my favorite episodes.

From Season 2, how about Dead Putting Society, or Three Men and a Comic Book or Bart the Daredevil? I even like Two Cars in Every Garage and Three Eyes on Every Fish.

Maybe the first season was bad, but the next 2 were pretty good!

(I even like Krusty Gets Busted and The Crepes of Wrath from season 1)

I would say the Last Three seasons have been bad . nothing but guest stars and stuff .

My favorite of the first three seasons was probably Bart's Friend Falls in Love. There are so many good bits in that one (including when Bart hits Milhouse with the Magic 8 Ball and says, "I'll bet the 8 ball didn't see that coming")

Season One doesn't hold up well when compared to later seasons (they were great at the time, though, and Krusty Gets Busted and Bart the Genius are still among the classics, in my opinion), but much of Season Two and Three holds up just as well as anything that came after.

Season Five was the best season if I had to pick a best season, though. With classics such as: "Homer Goes to College" and "Boy Scoutz N The Hood" and Homer's Barbershop Quartet" and "Homer and Apu" and "homer Loves Flanders" and "Cape Feare" and "Rosebud" and "Marge on the Lam" and "The Last Temptation of Homer" (with guest appearance by the late, great Col. Klink) and even some others, season five kicked booty.

Um ... mrpaige, your favorite character wouldn't happen to be Homer, would it?

mrpaige -- refresh my memory... I'm sure I know who Col. Klink is but it doesn't ring any bells... what is he most known for?

Yes, Homer is probably my favorite character among the Simpsons.

And Col. Klink is from Hogan's Heroes. Werner Klemperer was his real name (and he died just recently. There was a thread about his death here).
