Sorry to start a thread like this, but is anyone else as annoyed listening to him as I was? I liked how CNNSI compared him to a teen girl outside the gates of Justin Timberlake's home. Throughout the draft, I just wanted to see him shut up.. especially after what he said about us not taking Jay Williams last year!

Just to be fair. Who wasn't wrong about Yao?? If you weren't questioning Yao when the Rockets drafted him then you obviously hadn't seen the long list of stick-thin, tall players that have come into the league and failed miserably.
Vitale is a tool. He still believes that there are no good foreign players. I cant stand listening to him state how everyone is making a big mistake by drafting foreign players over 4 year college kids. Hey DICK V. tell that to the Mavs, Kings, Rockets, Spurs(tony P), etc... Do you really think that J Will was still a better choice than Yao?
... and was being ignorant because you had never seen Yao played before as well. I didn't have the slightest doubt about Yao. I have seen him play since he's 18/19.
Dicky V is a dumbass. Last year he was saying that Jay Williams is the second best point guard in the world behind kidd without playing any pro ball. This year, he said TJ Ford is the second best point guard in the world before the draft. He doesn't know **** about international players, and don't know **** about the NBA. He needs to just stick to college basketball. And that 'backlash' comment about Teams picking foreign players was ridiculous. He referred to Kapono's comments as an example. Kopono jokingly said that he should have played one year of college basketball and go to overseas to play, learn to make a few shots and get selected early in the first round. Vitale was implying the because the NBA wants globalization, that's why these teams are picking up foreign players and there will be a 'backlash' on the NBA by players and/or fans because of it.
Dick V. is too old for NBA. I wonder why he did not even spend a little bit time on studying the players to be drafted before opening his mouth.
Lets not get too deep into this! It has been done to death last season. Lets try to be positive and await our Roster changes.

Dick Vitale is an idiot. One thing I always wonder about him is that how can ESPN or other TV station hire such a guy. Probably because we can all easily make fun of poor dumb Dicky. He hates International players, there's no doubt about it. If it's up to him, all International guys don't get pick at all, and college players all get to have a job in the NBA.
Really.....what's his deal with foreign players? And can someone clear something up for me? What is that nickname/phrase he often says.....something along the lines of "diaper-dandy"?
