That's just swell, isn't it? Spencer and Ryans were the two rookies making the most impact on this team and now one is down for the count.

I'm guessing Pitts ends back up at LT?

    What about Winston?

I'm pretty sure the club ruled that Pitts was nowhere near adequate to be a NFL LT... which is why they gave Wand every opportunity to win that job.

Pitts played okay at LT especially given that its not his natural position. They gave Wand every opportunity but they still ended up playing Pitts.

Winston has been inactive the first 2 games. I would assume he isn't ready to be thrown in the fire to protect Carr's blindside.

And every has said, Pitts isn't technically a LT, but the reality is, before Spencer came along, he was head and shoulders the best LT we have had. Put him back there and hope for the best until someone else steps up.

Apparently the injury is a broken tibia, which is the large bone of the lower leg. As long as it wasn't a compound fracture, from where I sit that is better news than a soft tissue-connective tissue injury like torn ligaments or tendons, which is what I thought when I first read he was out for the year. People come back 100% from broken bones.

As long as he is careful in healing and rehab he should be back. It would be nice for him to get a full season of experience, but it would be much worse if his physical ability was impacted. It should be just a setback.

Also, John McClain said that Ephraim Salaam will be the replacement. I didn't watch the game much after Spencer went down, but Salaam used to be a good tackle, and at least won't be making tons of rookie mistakes as a fill in.

The Dynamo are headed for the playoffs, at least.

    ...

Except we might be losing DeRo to Toronto (which would add to the cloud).

He was tripped up by Ron Dayne. Go figure.

Well, technically, Ron kicked the **** out of his leg. :)

Leg on leg contact, Ron comes out injury free and Spence comes out with a broken leg.

    Hard to figure out.

Why do we have to give up DeRo to Toronto? What kind of compensation do we get from MLS?

If that's the case, give us that dude from FC Dallas, and all our other Houston guys.
