Do blood relations mean nothing in politics anymore? Endorsing the guy running against your cousin? I'd be disowned.
By the way where the hell is George Bush? Haven’t heard neither hide nor hair from him. I mean it seems like he's just disappeared from the political scene and campaign. What gives?
I hear that Dick Cheney still has some significant pull in Wyoming! This could clinch that state for the McCain campaign!
W is working to enact a wide array of federal regulations, many of which would weaken government rules aimed at protecting consumers and the environment, before leaving office. He's trying to get them enacted fast enough so that they will take effect before Obama takes office. If they wait too long, it will be easy for Obama to undo the regulations just like Bush undid the last things Clinton did before leaving office. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/10/30/AR2008103004749.html W cast an absentee ballot last week. I assume that the GOP didn't want the public seeing W cast his ballot on election day.
From Obama's prepared remarks in Pueblo, CO. http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/1108/Obama_knocks_Cheney_vote.html?showall "But here’s my question for you, Colorado: do you think Dick Cheney is delighted to support John McCain because he thinks John McCain’s going to bring change? Do you think John McCain and Dick Cheney have been talking about how to shake things up, and get rid of the lobbyists and the old boys club in Washington? Colorado, we know better. After all, it was just a few days ago that Senator McCain said that he and President Bush share a “common philosophy.” And we know that when it comes to foreign policy, John McCain and Dick Cheney share a common philosophy that thinks that empty bluster from Washington will fix all of our problems, and a war without end in Iraq is the way to defeat Osama bin Laden and the al Qaeda terrorists who are in Afghanistan and Pakistan. So George Bush may be in an undisclosed location, but Dick Cheney’s out there on the campaign trail because he’d be delighted to pass the baton to John McCain. He knows that with John McCain you get a twofer: George Bush’s economic policy and Dick Cheney’s foreign policy – but that’s a risk we cannot afford to take."
Here's my question for you Colorado. Why do all of the worlds thug leaders support Obama? Because he's one of them?
Cheney is still relevant? Do you think that McCain't is actually happy to have Cheney endorse him? Sort of like Fredo's kiss on the cheek from Michael isn't it?
That's been my point all along when it comes to vps and all the Palin talk. THEY AREN'T. Once in office they are put on the practice squad doing the stuff no one else wants to do.
