The rumor is the Nets is offering Harris for Grizzlies' 2nd pick. What do you guys think about us some how getting Harris? Maybe in a three-way trade?

not sure why the grizz would want our salary dump instead of harris, who's young and relatively marketable...and proven at this point

The more important piece of info here is we might have an idea of what the market is for the #2, Rubio. ;)

Thats exactly what was going thru my mind but why would the Nets wanna trade a young proven PG for a younger prospect. I understand the salary dump thing but does this mean they've given up on the thought of get LeBron in 2010?

Now we see why Morey is so interested in the #2 pick....

    Devin Harris anyone???? ;)

well nets are bleeding money so why not 3 way tango with nets and grizz our fav trading partners

    htown gets vince
    NJ gets rubio
    Grizz get harris

we send tmac and lowry for vince + fillers such as dooling
we get a big pg whose defensive to be along brooks
hopefully we can bag a 7footer either being hadadi, milicic or maybe boone or williams. making us keep our young core of brooks, bolster the defense with a long pg dooling, a pretty healthy version of tmac in vince carter, hopefully we keep artest and battier and scola landry and a big man to complement yao makes us pretty much as deep as we are gona get without totally dumping ppl from our team

Nj gets rubio, hes cheaper than harris and get rid of vince and get tmac so they save big money until he starts to play which who knows could be soon and IF rubio is what he is supposed to be him, tmac and lopez could do some damage in the east. not to mention this makes the nets more diverse , rubio will bring in more sales, maybe tmac though hes doin worse in his career that vince, and their hoping they can bank off Yi due to new endorsements with chinese companies.

grizzlies get harris, get a solid pg, to go along with their solid sg mayo and sf gay and pretty good center gasol. they dont have to gamble on rubio being a bust. the grizzlies wil be healthy , young and one talented team

    win win win situation?
not sure if salaries work but im sure it would only take fillers

    your thoughts?

He's a stud for sure. Chances of us actually getting him are slim to none though.

If Harris was in this draft I could see him going 1st overall.

Vince? We do not need him. He just another McGrady with more years on him and he is not going to help us to beat the Lakers. I rather have Devin Harris because he upgrades our PG position and is a difference maker.

What??? So we don't need a healthy McGrady? We need a wing that can create for himself and close out a game. Vince can do that. Our PG position is good enough.

That is less likely than getting Vince.Getting Carter won't be easy either.

Our PG position is not good enough. Neither of our guys are starting material. Getting Vince is about as good as we can get,I suspect we will have to give up Landry here too,but I'm not opposed to that idea,if we can get a 5/4 with the MLE. We won't need Wafer in this case and can re-sign Artest as well.We can look for another PG later on,if Brooks and Lowry can't improve.

I never said we don't need a health McGrady. I said that Vince is 32 years old and is basically almost over the hill. Have you seen his stats from the last 3 years and when is the last time your see Vince take over a game? He is the man in NJ, but what has he done lately? Also, what about his contact? 2 years 37 million.
In all honestly, our PG is not good enough and it showed in the playoffs. We are hoping they can get better with experience, but you never know. Harris is a proven talent and might be just what we need.

Yes I have looked at the stats in the last 3 years. He's averaged 21ppg on 45% shooting. He would be a perfect 2nd option. It would keep teams from collapsing on Yao over and over. He'll also give us about 6rpg and 5apg.

YES, 21ppg from 25ppg and 27ppg 5 years ago? Is that a sign or a trend of some kind? Also, he has been in the league for 10 years now.

I think getting Vince can change our team, he can be the difference maker. Im not saying devin harris couldnt but honestly devin harris and yao ming in the west couldnt do much damage without a wing, if we have artest that could be beneficial but theres no promise of his return. Right now we need a sg who can create. Our brooks is good, hes a scoring point so we dont really need to upgrade him, and harris can move the ball better and hes bigger but could he really help a team without a wing, plus brooks is better at the 3 and we are known for that. Thats the reason lowry doesnt start because he cant hit it consistantly. If Nj wants to salary relief lets pull an obama and bail em out. It can only benefit us.

Just say no to Vince Carter. We have a full roster of guys who come to play every night. It's no coincidence that this team forged an identity (one that got it out of the first round) based on hard work and defense once a certain quitter's season ended. I don't want to bring in another one.

There are talented guys that can be had who also give 100% every night.

I'd take Devin over anyone except for Jefferson in this year's draft. That trade is not so hot for NJ
