I do not understand why, dude is a slightly above average athlete with a much more polished bag since his beginnings. This dudes were adding to their bags early while Green was scoring and then adding to his bag.
Booker's first two years was an inefficient gunner playing little defense on a bad team. Kind of fits Jalen's profile.
Book got a lot of minutes in his rookie year and, from what I recall, had the green light to shoot with the Suns. Of course, he also had vets on his team at that point, so that probably helped.
I still do not see the resemblance........I see him as a Shooting Guard version of Jayson Tatum. He is someone who has mediocre athleticism and could just finesse through. Probably why Curry and Thompson became sort of elite despite not jumping out of the gym.
Look at their counting and advanced stats and efficiency first two seasons, literally identical. Def some differences but that's the closest comp. Book did make a good jump his third year so Jalen has a lot of work to do to keep up.
I don’t get the Booker comparisons at all. Book and Green couldn’t be more different other than them largely being scorers. Very different builds Book is taller and bigger but Green is way quicker and a far superior athlete Style Book is far more skilled than Green with an expansive repertoire of moves. Book is a far better shooter and generally way more polished Green is largely relies on quickness and athleticism to get to the rim and play above it. Not a good shooter yet
To me is like comparing Steph Curry to Russell Westbrook although Green should be more intelligent than Russell. Or CP3 vs Westbrook. Booker is the nerd that is studying the game of basketball......
