The NBA has just handed out its suspensions for the melee in Detroit last Friday. Ron Artest has been suspended for the rest of the year. Stephen Jackson will be suspended for 30 games and Jermaine O'Neal for 25. On the Pistons' side, Ben Wallace will be suspended for 6 games and Anthony Johnson for 5. Four others will be out for a game. I totally agree with the suspensions. Artest and O'Neal should have criminal charges pressed against them. In my book, Artest did not have the courage to fight Wallace, but decided to attack a fan for tossing a beer. Not to mention the fact that he got the wrong fan. Attacking fans is uncalled for, even if a beer was tossed at you.
