Rockets guard Tracy McGrady might not have played a minute this season, but finally, there might be a long-range idea when he might get on the court.

In the first All-Star balloting released by the NBA, McGrady is in position to start in the Western Conference backcourt, despite being out since last February.

    McGrady is a seven-time All-Star.

Kobe Bryant is the top vote-getter so far, with Carmelo Anthony and Dirk Nowitzki at forward and Amar’e Stoudemire at center.

Dwyane Wade is the top vote-getter in the East, in position to start at guard with Vince Carter, with LeBron James and Kevin Garnett at forward and Dwight Howard at center.
