I thought Lebron's response was hilarious. http://www.cleveland.com/sports/plaindealer/index.ssf?/base/sports/12057426597770.xml&coll=2 Monday, March 17, 2008 Branson Wright Plain Dealer Reporter Like most NBA observers, LeBron James was tickled when he heard about DeShawn Stevenson's comments following last Thursday's Cavaliers game against the Washington Wizards. After the Cavs' loss, Stevenson said a number of things about James, including his belief that James is overrated. It was part of the trash talking the two players were involved in during the game. James said: "With DeShawn Stevenson, it's kind of funny. It's almost like Jay-Z [responding to a negative comment] made by Soulja Boy. It doesn't make sense." For those readers not cultured in hip-hop, Jay-Z is a hip-hop mogul while Soulja Boy is just a rapper.
Yea I did find it kind of crazy for Stevenson to say that, I mean even if he really believes that he should have just kept it to himself.
deshawn is and always has been a knucklehead. tooting your own horn to the media is rarely a good idea, when you are on stevenson's level. didn't somebody get shot at his house earlier this year (maybe last year), or something like that?
To some extent, LeBron is over rated and he is in now way or form comparable to Jay-Z as a rap icon. Comparing himself to Jay-z, is like comparing 50 cents to 2Pac when fiddy used to be hot. If care is not taken, Lebron might soon self destruct
i think some of you guys missed the point. i mean, yeah if you consider jay z the greatest ever and if lebron said i'm the jay z of the nba, your anger could be justified. but just in the context of comparing jay z to soulja boy, that was pretty funny.
Jay Z wouldn't even be this popular because Pac and Biggie got knocked out of the game.. and cause Ice Cube started doing movies etc .. WEST SIDE!!!
WTF is up with bron bron on the cover of Vogue magazine......he's been letting his team lose time and time again all season, sitting in 4th place in the Leastern Conference......but he's got time to do some marketing to the bloated soccer moms who wait at the supermarket checkout line Stevenson probably should have kept his mouth shut but also probably right...
