Im watching him on espn, he's 8 of 8, and i think hes scored 21 points before halftime. Didnt realize he was so thin, i thought he was a post player. But he has a "mcgrady type" body.

Can anybody tell me more about the guy ? He is a definite pro prospect right ?

He was one of the top 10 seniors in the 99 class. Was considered the most talented player in the class. McGrady comparison is very good. He's definately not a post player. Perimeter player with great athleticism. Has a very good jump shot. Handles the ball well for his 6'9" frame. His considered a lottery lock if he leaves after his freshman year.

I can't say enough about this guy. To be honest, we are not going to get Morris, Martin, Richardon, or Mihm, so if we can't get Johnson, I want to trade our pick and D-town's pick for a dope player. Johnson's really the only player I want in this draft. It would be a huge mistake not to try and take him or move up and take him. If we can't do either, screw the draft, we're young anyway. I've been screaming about Johnson since the season started, he's another McGrady, Garnett type player. If he gets stronger, he'll thrive as a SF, but right now, he's an unguardable SG. If we pick him up, I say we trade Drew.

I we can't get this guy with our pick, lets trade up to get him. If not, lets trade our draft picks for an impact player. Who needs draft picks? Chicago does ... (they don't have anyone we want), Utah does ... (the only guy I want is Russel), Spurs do ...(the guy I want isn't for sale).

On another note... do you guys know Kurt Thomas is a free agent after this season. He's rotting away on NY's bench, but he is a sensational talent.

I don't think Kurt Thomas is a "sensational" NBA talent. Decent back-up player maybe, but I'd rather have say a Donyell Marshall. Though they are the same size and similar age, the latter is more versitle (3/4), has longer arms, and has a 3 point range. Of course he isn't a free agent, but I would be inclined to trade Drew & Walt for him.

It depends on the luck of the ball for lottery. Orlando missed the playoffs by 1 game a couple years ago and amazingly got the #1 pick.

Morris wont come out he likes college too much and likes hanging out with teammates in dorms and locker rooms. If they could get him i would geez he and stevie were teammates imagine Francis at the 1 Him at the 2 or 3 shandon at the 2 or 3, cato at the 5 and maybe kennny thomas or carlos at the 4.

I think they should draft martin or morris.
and i think mihm and richardson might stay in school. For a late 1st round or early 2nd round draft pick i might consider brendan haywood from UNC, or maybe carrawell from duke if hes around.

Chris porter also might be good, charles proly would reccomend the kid since hes from auburn.

O and if all fails in the 2nd round id take Gee Gervin the local UH product!

Then again johnson would also be a great pick tho. But they would have to get him to play the 3 and bulk up. Im not sure although im happy this draft looks pretty good.
He proly will come out if Cinncinati wins the NCCA tourny, otherwise he might stay and try to win it next year.

What do you all think of taking Muoneke with our second round pick? He is a strong player, kind of like Corliss Williamson from Sacramento. He will probably still be on the board in the early second round. Also, does anyone know what has happened to Kris Clack? Is he with Boston? He would be another good addition, he is a bigger, stronger version of Stacey Augmon with a little bit of an offense.

Im not sure Klack is in the NBA. I think kris doesnt have a position in the nba. I think he's about 2 inches too short to play the 3, and i dont think he has the handle to play the 2. Im a big fan of his though, and i hope he finds his way in the nba.

As for gabe, i think he definitely has NBA potential. Ive watched the guy play (i go to UT), and he kind of reminds me of an anthony mason type, w/o the ball handling skills. He's very explosive, and agressive.
He also put up 30 something points on OU, and i think najera was guarding him.

Dont laugh, i think he has a chance to be as good a pro as chris mihm. only thing is, does he have the size to play the 4 ? He could be a lesser version of Jamison, imo.

Gabe Muoneke has a decent chance of being selected in the 2nd round. I don't think he has a good chance at being a good pro. He's just not physically talented enough. He's about 6'6", 6'7" 250 lbs. Not a good ball handler at all. Shows a little outside touch. His rather an average athlete. Doesn't get up real high. Runs the floor pretty well. Below average free throw shooter. Basically bullies his way for points in college. I just can't see how he'll do that in the pros. Has some solid post moves. Huge hands. Good college player, but a bad pro.

About Clack, he reminds me a lot of Augmon (ie great d, belopw average o). I thought he would be pefect as a defensive stopper in the NBA. He was drafted by Boston who has a couple of good wing players though.
Gabe is a good college player and I could see him being a decent bench player in the pros if he could increase his range. I do think that Mihm is going to be a much better pro than Gabe. I also go to UT, I have been to about four games and Mihm just doesn't get fed the ball as often as he should. I think that if he got drafted by a half court team like Cleveland he could be awesome.

ut baller, i think / hope that mihm will be a good pro. Im thinking a Rik smits type career, which isnt bad. Hes certainly more athletic then Rik, but i think he would have a tough time matching up with some centers in the league.

Klack, is smaller then augmon, if he was 6'8", i think he would be in the nba. he also isnt a great ballhandler, but i think he could out shoot augmon. But, remember augmon used to average 15 a game, so he found a way to score.

I like Gabe, he's fiery, and seems to play hard. I htink he will be an above average pro, but im also biased as heck.
