Considering Omar Asik is worth $8 MM per year.

 

That's actually pretty fair.

 

If Javale ever matured and worked on his fundamentals he could be a monster.
He's already crazy athletic for a seven footer and his arms are freakishly long. If anything he could make his mark as a modern version of Dennis Rodman.

If only he had the work ethic. Its just such a shame. I hope he learned something from Hakeem during their training sessions.

 

His per minute stats are fantastic, as are most of his advanced stats.

I've seen some of his play. He can be frustrating at times, no doubt, but I still can't figure out why he doesn't get more playing time. His +/- on the Wizards wasn't great, but then it was the Wizards. It got much better on the Nuggets.

Still needs to improve. Still needs to mature - a lot. Will always be wacky.

But if the Rockets had everything else sorted out and were in position to do so, I'd rather have offered McGee a fair contract than the offers to Asik/Lin.

But given what they've done to their roster, etc, etc it makes no sense. But then again, Lin/Asik still make no sense.

 

Oh.
Well, whenever he does then I hope he takes something out of it.
He's got all the physical tools to be an elite center.

Thats a LITTLE rich. Though he does have that upside. I think he'll be plenty better than Asik

 

I would've liked Houston to have spent that on him...
