(first thread) Which team would you rather want to win this game? Both teams are just above us in the standings, so the good thing is that one of these teams will lose for sure.
I got Portland, I think Rockets are a better team than Portland and will pass them up sometime this week. Denver is a team who actually holds a playoff spot within reach. Though I put Denver and Portland would be the teams I want to fall out who are ahead of us. Denver did pretty well holding its ground with Carmello, and Nene out. Portland has been struggling with teams like the Knicks at home.
As long as one of these teams falls out, it doesn't matter. Denver and Portland are teams the Rockets should easily beat.
seeing as we need to leapfrog two teams to get in, id rather have portland win this one, simply because i think they are going to fall off and the rockets will pass them eventually anyway, whereas denver is a little bit of a better team. but if the rockets keep posting wins, we should be right in the mix without having to worry about what other teams do.
Portland needs to win this one, mainly cause they have some tough teams they gotta play right after this game. So we should easily pass portland even if they win this game. The nuggets need to lose this one for the rockets more than the blazers at this point.
If you look at it purely from the standpoint of the Rockets securing a playoff berth, I want Portland to win because I think Denver will finish in front of Portland at the end of the season.
It will be better for us if Portland wins cuz we know that Portland will loose in the future. We will go ahead of them for sure.
yea portland should win, but im my dream world the rockets and nuggets would both make the postseason, and portland and UTAH would be out. i actually like the nuggets, i hate the jazz. also, we could beat the nuggets alot easier in the playoffs (providing they are not at full strength, which they never are)
I want Portland to win, because they're the ones playing over their heads in the first half. They'll slip out of the top 8 anyways. If Denver gets on a losing streak, then we can sneak into that 8th seed.
I'm not sure about this, but I think either the Nuggets or the Blazers play the Jazz right after the Nugs/Blazers game. If we take care of business against Minnesota, we should be in good shape.
rockets are tied with portland right now... if the blazers lose then we are alone in 9th..... course i still want the nuggets to lose (putting us back in to 10th).
the sideline reporter chick was saying that channing frye has to walk greg oden's dog for a week because he lost a bet that the pats would win the super bowl. the best part about the story....she said greg oden's dog is named McLovin.
Oops, the Nuggets have been throwing the ball all over the places and they still tie the game after 3 qtrs. lucky bastards.
