http://www.nba.com/video/channels/hall_of_fame/2011/08/12/20110812_hof_speech_rodman_new.nba/ Wanted to ask a poll question SINCE IT'S LISTED UNDER ADDITIONAL OPTIONS... but can't for some reason, probably b/c I haven't posted 10 thousand times. Was going to ask if you believe him or think he was just grandstanding/seeking sympathy or if you just don't care about his speech. Where does he rank among all time PF's to you?? btw CLUTCH, administrator, if you won't let members ask a poll question... then why have 'post a poll' under additional options???? Hmmmm?? Kinda asinine.
I can post polls. I don't have 10,000 posts... Maybe calling out clutch isn't the best way at getting that ability. Why not just go into Feedback and ask him why you don't have that option nicely? He would probably give you that ability if you did...
if you can start threads you can start polls maybe at first is misleading, because only asks you for the poll answers, but if you click it will show and ask a question and the answers.
You spent 20 min watching a rebounding tranny but didnt look for 5 min on how to post a poll? Shameful behavior. Rodman is good for what he did, one of the best at boxing out, sealing off his man, and fundamentally a great forward. I am surprised he is still alive, and for that he deserves his HOF spot.
Liked the player (committed to rebounding and defence), dislike all the distraction he brings to your team.
I thought it was a great speech...he didn't hold anything back. It was a lot more emotional and heart felt than any other NBA speech I remember hearing.
Not really possible. You'll understand after you watch it at home. It's probably just me, but I enjoyed his Detroit Pistons ceremony earlier this year (to retire his jersey) more than this.
Yeah, here's a summary of the video: Thanks But when you see the video you a picture of a sensitive guy who grew up with the scars of feeling rejected by his family. You feel for the guy and get a sense of his crazy ass behavior. I actually came away slightly more appreciative of Phil Jackson, even. I always liked Rodman for really his ability to dominate his opponent mentally--even though or maybe because he had his own mental issues. And to this day, I'm amazed at his ability to grab boards. 18+rpg is insane.
Awesome speech, the man bared his soul. On the day when he's supposed to be praised, he obviously felt a great deal of remorse and regret about how he's lived his life, and he wasn't afraid to share those things. Seems like he had a history of challenges in his family as he grew up, so he didn't have a great model of what it meant to be a good father/husband and he's had to figure it out for himself. Tough life. I appreciate his authenticity.
