DENNIS Rodman wants to play again in the NBA. But the Worm, 42 and off the court for three years, might have a hard time getting back into shape. Rodman played for five championship teams, but he's been partying hard and spending a lot of money since he retired. But he met recently with Joe and Gavin Maloof, owners of The Palm casino and hotel in Las Vegas who also own the Sacramento Kings - a team that could use some rebounding. The three dined at a restaurant Rodman owns in Newport Beach. Dennis the Menace's rep, Darren Prince, could not be reached. An announcement might be made tomorrow.

Another great rivalry between the Lakers and the Kings is in the making. Vlade vs. Shaq, Rodman vs. Malone, Fox vs. Christie. Each team would run out of stars with all the suspensions that would be caused by all the tempers flaring.

It came from the gossip section (Page 6, I believe the name is) of the NY Post. That tells you all you need to know about the validity.

Maybe the Maloofs were just looking for a temporary party buddy, and are jerking his chain. Maybe they can let him stay at their house, like Cuban did.

In other news, George Foreman is talking about making a comeback next year when he turns 55.
