Did any one catch what Dennis Lindsey say on 610 around 7:30am?

Caught part of the interview about J. Posey, how JVG is reviewing the tapes and get a good feel of how valuable Posey can be.
Also noted that it's very possible that Badiane would go back overseas for a couple of years, because we're still young and he needs some seasoning.

Other than that, I didn't catch anything else (bad reception).

    Dennis Lindsey Director of Personnel...

was on radio talk show 610 this morning. Basic recap:

**Discussed James Posey situation. They are currently contemplating what to do. Said they understand how money affects playtime. Questions they must answer. Will Posey provide the right fit on a long term basis for the money they will spend? How will the spending affect the Rockets luxury tax status? (Some cases the penalty is 3 to 1 rather than double?) If they sign Posey, what message and future expectations are they sending to Boki?

**Positives concerning JP are that he's the type of player JVG likes, active on the floor and mixes things up defensively. JP is also a hard worker, getting to Westside at 8am every morning to work on his game. Posey has improved his shooting from last season. Jim Boylen helped him with his shooting for which he's shown noticeable improvement.

**Boki admits to having poor shooting outings in the summer league. Although, he did burst for 35 points in the last game. Boki is a hard worker and doesn't blame anyone for his performances. He's still a young talent and they expect him to eventually make an impact.

**Biggest suprise was how good Badiane played. He's only 19 with one year of professional basketball under his belt but he came out playing like he belongs in the NBA. He doesn't realize that he's not suppose to be this good at this point in time. They feel he will be a great future asset. But they don't want to rush his development so they will leave him to play in Europe for 1-2 years. He's still physically too thin. The Rockets feel they have enough youth on the current team to deal with.

A few other unnotable topics went on but this is primarily what I could remember.

Thanks for the good read. It's good to see that the Rockets are taking some interest in the Posey situation. I just don't understand how Posey would sign with the Grizz. When he was traded from Denver to Houston didn't he say something basically about him being sick of losing in Denver? The losing will continue in Memphis...no doubt. Money mus have been a major issue.

Add to this: Lindsey said he has been working especially hard on his defensive game according to JVG standards.

Winning = going East or landing with one of the Big 4 (5?) in the West. All the rest of us West-dwellers are fighting for scraps or LottoLand.

Seems like a lot of the same things were said about Venson Hamilton and Tyrone Washington. Where are they now?

An interesting comment that was made, not mentioned yet, was when they asked him why the Rockets were not mentioned in any rumors (especially in regards to Bucher / Aldridge and such). They were curious was there much going on behind the scenes in regards to acqusitions, trades, other options and so on.

The response was "I guess that is why you are talking to me and not CD."

Not sure what that meant, but he did mentioned that they are looking at several different options and back up plans.

I just thought I would throw that in.

I am not sure why they ever ask these questions, are they really expecting him to answer it truthfully.

"Well you know don't tell anyone but we are going to trade................" gimme a break...... I guess it never hurts to ask.
