    Hey, this is fun!

    Moseley-Braun Forgets Her College Major

    February 21, 2003

"I don't remember what I majored in in college... I hate to guess, I'm gonna guess it was political science, but I'm not sure, it might have been history. I'll check, I hadn't thought of that one." -- former Sen. Carol Moseley-Braun, as reported by The Hotline's Wake Up Call.

Hey, she was right- it was political science.

Since she has probably done 15 interviews a day for weeks now that she is a Presidential candidate, I am not surprised she is getting tired.

Being the "anti Al Sharpton" candidate is hard work.

I wouldn't classify a black female as being a presidential hopeful.

More like "presidential long shot, who doesn't have a chance in hell of winning anything until 2300"

2300? What a warm, fuzzy thought. Thanks for sharing.

Aside from generalizing comments that mention the color of her skin, this event is pretty damned funny. I can just see our other losers-- I mean, democratic hopefuls -- running to their filing cabinets looking up their college majors. Please, General Clark, please. Say something unstupid about domestic policy, and my vote is all yours at this point!

I know your post was kind of lame, ewfd, but don't be so hard on yourself. M'kay? Those inner eye rolls will take their tole on your psyche.

BBob, don't be so hard on efwd... I think he highlights the general "why the hell are there so many random Presidential candidates running for office" intuition. What the hell is this lady or Al Sharpton running on? Al Sharpton is running on the cowardice of those in the party to call him the buffoon that he absolutely is.... b/c he'll just spin it as being racist.

God I hate Al Sharpton. Honestly, someone needs to neuter the guy. It is sheer idiocy and a testament to the fact that race leaves several people wobbly in the knees that he can even take a stage with other candidates. He's a sham artist that has libeled a bazillion people that have walked into his path, re: the subject of race. He makes the democratic argument re: race appear absurd, simply b/c he is so inflammatory.

Moseley-Braun happens to be running on the same "errrr... I'm black" campaign, but she's actually a plant by the party to stop Sharpton early. They should both be given the boot.

Either way, Go Clark!! GI Clark is there... GI Clark! A great American her-o. GI Clark is thaahheeeyair. GI Clark!!!

    Achebe,

Of course Sharpton's an *******. But if the Democratic Party had been out there appealing to their base over the last however many years, and I mean AT ALL, he wouldn't have any legs at all. He's able to run, and Dems are powerless to stop him from running or to call the obvious bull**** on his campaign, because he's the only big name who's even WILLING to own the basic Dem platform. In his announcement, or somewhere around there, he said something like 'I'm the only candidate who's for these various things' which included a list of like five basic Dem positions. Republicans do not have this problem. They embrace their base (even the grossest, most hateful, sometimes even most racist elements) and then they go to work on moderates. Democrats take their core for granted which leaves the door open to a Sharpton. I'm very glad he's there. It will make them actually talk to their base and ask for their vote for the first time since 1992 (if not 88). Sharpton is a symptom of a problem the Democrats brought on themselves. He is not the problem. He's a symptom. Any Democrat who has a problem with him being there should talk to the leadership. It's their fault.

On the Moseley-Braun thing... Really only Democrats and other people who didn't vote for Bush get to laugh at this. I get to laugh at it and it's funny. If you voted for Bush and you laughed at this, go take a hard look in the mirror. Your guy's dumb. And he's been busted saying far dumber things than this.

On the We Want Gen. Clark thing... Um, why exactly? Correct me if I'm wrong please, but is it because he's a Democrat with military cred? Are there more good reasons? And, more to the point, what exactly is wrong with Howard Dean?

After you finish that rock you are smoking, perhaps you could give a few specifics how Republicans "embrace (the) most hateful.. racists" in America?

Jeez, that is like saying that Democrats embrace Communists. Pure crap.

George W. Bush, when meeting with the then-leader of Brazil, asked that individual, "Do you have any blacks (in Brazil)?"

Which is not only a startlingly r****ded question, but smacks of racism, too....or, at least, shows off a privileged white man's easy life. Too bad they don't teach you anything in the Ivy League besides cheerleading.

    Hey, this is fun!

Oh boy, I can already see the "tit for tat" war beginning. Don't worry people, when I'm president, I'm going to fix everything by brainwashing everybody (this means you guys) and making myself King of America. I'm just kidding.

    No I'm not.
