Demarr has a tremendous upside. Demarr can play either SF or SG (in case another rocket decides to leave hint hint ;o) ) Demarr already has a good jump shot. Demarr is athletic, something that the Rockets lack in their front court. And Demarr was a guy highly mentioned to go as high as the top 4 until some other players stepped it up either in the NCAA tournament and/or pre draft camps. Plus, Demarr is a little of a project which is a good thing for the Rockets. Unlike Rocket Fans, these other teams in the Draft are perennial lottery teams and are under extremely high pressure to get someone who fits their system and must contribute immediatley even if their talent potential may not be legitimate!!!!!! Demarr will have a great chance to grow with the Rockets. Plus with Francis distributing the ball, a guy with the knack for scoring like Johnson is required to go along with Mobley and Anderson. Question to any one, how good is Demarr Johnson's defense? Is his defense better than Miller's? ------------------
i couldn't agree more... this is the guy i want the Rockets to get... i watched him play when Cincy played UH and he was pretty amazing...he was hittin' threes and not to mention this two handed tip dunk that he got off a missed lay-up... oh yeah, i think his D is better than Miller's 'cuz of his size and athletic ability ------------------
Question to any one, how good is Demarr Johnson's defense? Is his defense better than Miller's? My opinion, though I expect a lot of disagreement, is that yes DerMarr's defense is better than Miller's. DerMarr has better lateral movement on the defensive end than Miller and also complements that with a long wingspan that causes trouble for his opponents. His shuffles on the defensive end are smooth and allow him to stay with his man.
