His averages over the last 14 games, a big enough sample size to assume he's capable of doing this all the time: 23.41 pts 10.7 rbs 2.5 asts 1.71 stls 1.36 blks And he's only 22. Sure, it's the Kings, which inflates those numbers a bit, but still. Not too shabby for a headcase.
He reminds me of a slightly bigger/more athletic version of Z-Bo. That's high praise from me because I like Randolph a lot. Cousins is a natural big man around the hoop and highly skilled. Very nice player head case or not.
Who cares if they are head cases if they can produce. When I watch Cousins play, it just seems like he's really hot tempered, but he's hot tempered because he clearly wants to win and do well. I'd take that over being non-nonchalant and not giving a **** attitude like Thabeet
that kid is just amazing sweet touch large as an elephant great passing ability he's going to be so great, I am really jealous at the Kings
If anything, being on the Kings brings his stats down. Evans and Thorton are ballhogs. Thorton was out last night and Cousins dropped 41. They need a real lead guard over there, even though Isiah Thomas is doing a great job.
Lights up the stat sheet, but his defense is pretty suspect. Lacks instincts, fundamentals, effort. 1.5 blocks per 36 minutes is pretty disappointing from a 7-footer with his explosiveness, too. With his height, wingspan, bulk, athleticism, he could be a defensive force, but he's not... he's pretty soft. But still... I'll admit I was wrong about him translating his offense/rebounding to the NBA... it's clear he's a player. I want to see him do a little more on the defensive end before I proclaim him a future superstar though.
Love Kyle, but if we can re-sign Dragic and deal Kyle for a Sacramento top five pick you do it. Maybe Drummond, Barnes, or Lamb there. They should be all over that too.
That's nice and all, but when I watch him I see a below average defender... and the Kings defense sucks overall. An above average rim protecting defensive center should be enough to to make you a decent defensive team. We all know how important the 7 footer in your painted area is to a defense.
Dream scenario... Sac-town wins the 3rd overall pick in the lottery... trades it for KLow straight-up... we re-sign Dragic and land Robinson or Drummond in the draft.
Just a hypothetical. I don't follow college closely enough to judge, but I would trust that Morey and company would only trade Lowry for a prospect that is worth it. I have no idea if I'd trade him for Barnes, but if they did I would be excited because I trust their ability to draft based on history.
Sacremento should be Morey's target, they do not need another draft pick....but they do need a Lowry. DD
