I know Deke likes the people and everything, I feel like we should give him a job within the rockets organization.
More specifically, he should be our new public address announcer. Can you imagine the fear that voice would instill in opponents even during player introductions?
We would beat the Mavericks and several of the the other gutless teams by forfiet.

Mutombo should be our bench cheerleader. This guy no doubt gives the rockets the most energy when it comes to firing the bench and the players up.

I think he's got more important things to do than public address announce...like building a hospital.

I'd love to keep him in the organization...a la Astros signing Biggo and Bagwell to a personal services contract.

I think he would make a fantastic assistant coach. In fact, I'm glad that this thread came up because I wanted to talk about ways to keep him around. He's such a great chemistry guy.

WORD! He would be the perfect Big Man coach, but I have a feeling, that like Dream, he may not stay in the states when his playing days are done. Too much to do outside of the league.

Deke is such a great guy and I know he was only with the Rockets in the twilight of his career, but I feel like he is a life long Rocket. Anybody else feel like he should of always been here? I would love for us to retire his jersey when he is gone.

Not sure he is a Houston guy. His primary residence is still in Philly I believe. I would love to have him stay in Houston in some capacity but that hospital in the Congo is going to be his lifes mission.
