Of course this will sound bias coming from here, but Deke should be the front runner for 6th man this year. How many times did Deke come in and do a superb(some may argue better) job when Yao was benched for whatever reasons, mainly foul trouble, for long periods of time and remain in the game without really getting in any serious foul trouble. The guy looks like he's in his prime out there, getting blocks, rebounds, and is literally changing the flow of the game. And the most impressive thing about him is his consistancy. He guards the paint like a true warrior. You know he's gonna give you quality minutes out there and hustle his butt off, unlike previous backups whom will remain nameless. He may not score alot and make highlight reels, but he sure does deserve the award for what he does bring. Heart.
