Miracle Name Dee Brown Head Coach/Director of Player Personnel

ORLANDO, FL, April 5 - RDV Sports Chief Operating Officer John Weisbrod today named former Orlando Magic guard Dee Brown as head coach/director of player personnel of the Orlando Miracle. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Brown succeeds Carolyn Peck, who has accepted a head coaching position with the University of Florida. Brown retired after 12 NBA seasons, served as Special Assistant to Orlando Magic Operations.

"I am very excited and look forward to this great opportunity to coach these players," said Brown. "I believe we have a solid foundation in which to grow and build from and I am eager to begin the process."

"We've always been impressed by Dee's basketball knowledge, work ethic and enthusiasm," said Weisbrod. "He has a passion for the game of basketball, and most importantly, is the type of person that we want representing our organization."

Overall, it's good for the league I guess. Only three weeks before the draft too. Talk about squeezing somebody in.

Dee is renound for getting the calls in his favor and if he plans on paying the refs like he did in the NBA, I'm going to be sick.

So, is he the first person to play in the NBA then coach a WNBA team in the same year?
