Looking forward...December has to be a huge month for us...check out some of these stretches in January and early Feb. Jan 2 - Jan 17 @Portland @Denver vs. Portland @Orlando vs Utah @Boston vs Oklahoma City vs New Orleans @Atlanta vs Milwaukee Jan 27 - Allstar Break @Dallas @San Antonio @LA Lakers @Utah vs Memphis @Denver vs Minnesota vs Dallas vs Denver Hopefully AB n Yao come back soon and we develop some good chemistry beastin on the crap of the league in December....cuz those two stretches are TOUGH!!
1 vote for break it. Harrison Barnes (or a high lotto pick) might be our only shot at adding a much needed superstar to this squad. Battier can't score 11 points in the last 2 minutes every game.
18 games into the season and we have people saying tank. wow last time i checked, i am a houston rockets fan because we as a team never give up, we play scrappy, we are always the underdogs. We were the underdogs after winning a championship yet we found ways to win. tanking should not even be a word anyone in our team knows. 18 games? 64 games left. 64. Change your name from bleedrocketsred please. If you actually bled rockets red you would be rooting for a 64 game win streak not saying tank, especially to get harrison barnes. Stop reading ESPN articles and making conclusions. Watch him play, hes not that great, ill keep shane thank you very much. Now please take your pessimistic attitude and shut up. You dont bleed rockets red, you arent even a true rockets fan, your mere existence is disgusting.
whoa those are some tough stretches but we should be healthy by then. hopefully we can make .500 through that part of the schedule
Id say we NEED to win one of the next two games coming up because if you get swept this weekend then last night game is virtually meaningless. Team needs momentium from last night's game to carry over because they can't afford to lose many more games in row or the season is over.
December is probably our easiest month to make up ground, but this team has been extremely inconsistent so far this year. We win 1 then follow up with a couple of losses. And looking at our schedule in January... ALL teams are Playoff contenders EXCEPT for Minnesota. I'm wondering if maybe this was the game that gets us going.. we played great in LA to start the season, but let the game slip away. We almost did that again, falling behind by 7 with like 5mins to go, but we came back and pulled it out with great defense and clutch shooting. So i guess.. Lost to LA start a string of losses. So hopefully, WIN against LA will start a string of Wins.. Lets go 64 game winning streak!
I had predicted we would be 13-19 by new years but expected to lose last night and both this weekend, if we can sneak out a win in Memphis or Chi-Town then 13-19 becomes 15-17. Let say we beat one other team that we shouldn't this month...all of a sudden 16-16 is a real possibility.
I predicted 13-19 as well, but 16-16 is a possibility with AB and YAO expected to come back next week. I do think we have a better chance at beating Chicago rather than Memphis. Boozer just came back so i expect him to be fairly rusty. Taj Gibson hasn't been playing as well as he was earlier in the season and is also playing hurt. I thought we played pretty well against Chicago the first time, except we just had no answer for Derrick Rose in the 4th - Kyle Lowry was noticeably much slower at the point since he was coming back from back spasms. And Rose isn't gonna hit 4-3s on you night in and night out. I think he was just in that zone that night. Seeing how well Lowry's been playing recently should help slow Rose down this time around. Hopefully we CAN pull out the next 2 before Yao comes back! 64 game win streak! Lets do it NBA 2k style!
honestly. just strike it from the record. I got a flashback to opening night, only this time a different result... lets get it on...
On paper, yes, but Chicago looked really bad last night. Boozer looks super rusty, as expected, and it will take time to get him in the offense. Memphis is a streaky team, they have talent now and if they get some confidence going with their outside shot...look out.
Harrison Barnes couldn't be more overrated. I'd rather have Kemba Walker, Kyrie Irving, Perry Jones, or Terrence Jones...
He is just making sure that he drops in the draft, and ensuring he is not the No. 1 pick, so the Rockets can draft him. It's ally part of Morey's grand master plan.....
Here is my prediction for DECEMBER, we will go 9 - 6 since the lakers game counts as a win. Here is what I see for the rest of the month. This will make us 14- 18 before the start of the year. Will have to go 36-14 the rest of the way for a 50 win season and sniff the playoffs. What's everyone elses prediction? 19 Fri, Dec 3, 2010 @ Memphis Grizzlies (Have talent and we struggle against a team that has even one talented player so this is a lost.) 20 Sat, Dec 4, 2010 @ Chicago Bulls (Lost, no solution to D. Rose down the stretch, he'll kill us again) 21 Tue, Dec 7, 2010 Detroit Pistons (Win, pistons stink and tmac will try to do too much) 22 Fri, Dec 10, 2010 @ Milwaukee Bucks (Win, dont know much about the bucks though) 23 Sat, Dec 11, 2010 Cleveland Cavaliers (We saw what miami did to them, we can at least do half the damage especially playing at home) 24 Tue, Dec 14, 2010 Sacramento Kings (Win since it's at home) 25 Wed, Dec 15, 2010 @ Oklahoma City Thunder (won't lose to Hou twice in a row and not at home, we lose this one) 26 Fri, Dec 17, 2010 Memphis Grizzlies (Since were at home, this is a win) 27 Sun, Dec 19, 2010 @ Sacramento Kings (We will play terrible and lose) 28 Mon, Dec 20, 2010 @ Golden State Warriors (Another loss, Ellis or Curry will destroy us like they did game 1) 29 Wed, Dec 22, 2010 @ Los Angeles Clippers (Win, we always beat them) 30 Mon, Dec 27, 2010 Washington Wizards (Win this time around, Wall won't perform as well at toyota center) 31 Wed, Dec 29, 2010 Miami Heat (Loss, too much offense) 32 Fri, Dec 31, 2010 Toronto Raptors (the tradition of home team winning this series continues, it's a win)
