This is why I call that guy a pathological liar. He just spews blatant lies to Americans. He is a man with no integrity whatsoever. Meanwhile, he'll be off golfing again this weekend at just one more of his grand opening properties abroad. Grift, golf, do a bit of tit for that deals abroad, lie to the public, hold another fundraiser at his properties, wheel and deal again, lie to the public, repeat. Trump: “Core inflation is way down, below 2%. Think of that.” False. Core inflation is not below 2%. This measure, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, showed prices up about 2.9% in June compared with June 2024, according to the most recent Consumer Price Index data. Other oft-cited measures of core inflation are also above 2%. The most recent data from the Personal Consumption Expenditures price index showed core inflation up about 2.7% in May compared with May 2024, while the most recent data from the Producer Price Index showed core inflation up about 2.6% in June compared with June 2024. Trump: “Gasoline … we had $1.99 a gallon today in five different states.” False. Of the tens of thousands of gas stations nationwide tracked by the company GasBuddy, there was not a single station offering gas for $1.99 per gallon or less on Tuesday, said Patrick De Haan, the company’s head of petroleum analysis. (Some drivers get special discounts.) And no state had an average Tuesday gas price lower than Mississippi’s $2.71 per gallon, according to data published by AAA. Trump: “Groceries are down.” False. Grocery prices are up during this Trump presidency. Grocery prices in June were about 0.6% higher than they were in January, the month Trump was inaugurated, and about 2.4% higher than they were in June 2024, according to the latest Consumer Price Index data. Trump: “Prices are all down. I don’t think there’s any price — other than we have a real terrible, terrible head of the Fed, and if he brought down interest …” False. Regardless of anyone’s opinion of Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell and interest rate policy, US prices are not “all down”; in reality, prices have continued to increase during Trump’s second presidency. As of June, overall consumer prices were about 2.7% higher than they were in June 2024, about 0.3% higher than they were in May 2025, and about 1.5% higher than they were in January 2025. Given this overall increase in prices since January, it’s obvious that prices have gone up in various individual categories — so the president’s suggestion that not a single price has increased is clearly untrue. Trump mentioned “an old woman” who went to a grocery store intending to buy three apples. “She put them down on the counter, and she looked and she saw the price, and she said, ‘Would you excuse me?’ And she walked one of the apples back to the refrigerator,” he said. Apples will be the least of her worries with the price of beef skyrocketing, and the price of coffee once tariffs kick in. Then, wait until she needs a new refrigerator or new car down the road and sees the price, of goes to buy a computer or other electronics item. Leather goods, clothes, and food items we rely on from imports aren't going to get cheaper with tariffs. Farmers aren't going to lower prices when they lose those workers being deported either. But.....those apples. Trump is one bad apple. Just rotten to the core. But, folks still believe the lies he spews, and trust the guy who shouldn't be trusted to even feed their dog if he promised to take care of it. P.S. You say TDS and I say WTFU
Inflation kissed 9% under Biden. The scars are still visible from the Biden runaway inflation. Liberals aren't winning this debate -- the public is smarter than that. GOOD DAY
Which happened from zero covid China which is why every country in the world saw inflation. This inflation is happening to dumb tariff policies. Youre a moron who lies non stop
His explanations are just regurgitated BS from the orange man. He will never admit Trump is not only failing to reduce prices, but that his actions are making things worse. He certainly won't ever admit that Trump just spewed 5 bold faced lies about it this week. Narcissists can't ever admit they are wrong though, and pathological liars aren't the types anyone should trust or believe. They are either peas from the same pod, or he is brainwashed by BS. Regardless, the post is about the lies Trump just spewed, yet there will be those red hatters spewing whataboutism to deflect from the big lies. They biggest Trump lovers will never condemn him for lying. Never. If prices go up even more when tariffs kick in they will still deny it is happening as long as Trump does.
[Educational Post] Inflation happened because of unprecedented fiscal stimulus into the economy -- and record budget deficits... which led to the issuance of treasuries and a massive increase in monetary supply. Inflation tracks increases in money supply very closely -- and that's exactly what happened. Biden kept the fiscal stimulus and spending going far longer than necessary, which drove up inflation. American voters saw grocery prices, rent, health care costs, and many other daily needs skyrocket under Biden. That inflation and the border crisis were the two main reasons Trump won. And Trump has solved these problems masterfully. The latest data shows clearly that tariffs have had almost no impact on inflation. Foreign producers are absorbing the tariffs in their margins. Inflation remains well under 3.0% -- which is very low. GOOD DAY
I can deal with prices going up due to climate issues like were seeing with Coffee in Brazil, but what I can't deal with is then putting a tariff on coffee at 50% on Brazil because you got your feelings hurt, the majority of what we're going through is self-inflicted and it will only get worse Same with gas, when people were praising biden for getting gas prices down, he didn't really do much except ride the Supply Chain issues back down to an acceptable level, IMO Prez`s get too much praise for that kind of thing and the exact same thing when the prices went up, not much anyone could do about it. The tariffs are a self-inflicted injury and you cant hide from that..................remember the low-income families who voted for trump simply because they wanted cheaper prices, well I hope you are ready to diss the hamburger in your hamburger helper (PS, I love Hamburger Helper) to something like ground turkey or better yet, let's just fry up a bologna sandwich (which I also like)
Inflation is well beneath 3.0% under Trump -- he tamed the 9% Biden inflation that wrecked the pocketbooks of the working class. Trump's inflation is LOW. Biden's was HIGH. And with the securing of the southern border, the labor force will shift in favor of Americans... thereby producing real wage gains to allow the working and middle classes to start to get ahead. Trade deals are opening new markets for American goods. Manufacturing investment is pouring into the USA -- providing good paying, family-supporting jobs. Combine that with no tax on tips and no tax on overtime, now codified into law, and you have an economy that is truly working for the lower classes. All of this points to real wage gains -- in excess of the level of inflation. Safe to say that Trump is the best President for the working class -- based on his policy successes thus far. America's Golden Era is upon us. GOOD DAY
Yeah, and to top it off, by the orange man scoffing at climate change and global warming, while bragging about pumping out more fossil fuels an deregulating on top of it is plain ignorance, and irresponsible leadership. Global warming is going to be destroying more crops from droughts, fires, heat, and flooding as each year goes by, and he doesn't give a damn, as long as the polluters put millions into his pockets. He's going to cost Americans more in the long run, and the damage will be much harder to reverse the longer he keeps it up. It's sad that we have a President so selfish backwards in thinking compared to most of the world.
You live in an altered state of reality dude. Just because Trump decorates everything around him in gold doesn't mean crap for Americans. Golden era my ass. What a joker you are.
I live in a fact-based world. The points below are all FACTS. Not a single one can be refuted. Inflation has been tamed. Now below 3.0%. Fact. Stock market is at record highs. Fact. Corporate earnings are near record highs. Fact Border is secured. Fact. Taxes have been slashed -- including no tax on tips and no tax on overtime. Fact. Trade deals are being done -- opening up markets for US goods globally. Fact. In June the USA ran a budget surplus. Fact. GOOD DAY
Braindead cultist doesn't mention healthcare subsidies doubling as a win? Cultists doesn't mention millions will be kicked off food assistance Cultists doesn't mention grocery prices are at record highs Housing prices are at record high Cultists doesn't mention electricity prices will skyrocket cuz of their dumbass war on renewables This is why Trump has a lower approval rating on economy than Biden. Youre a low iq cultist Inflation did not go up in Japan and Colombia in 2023 bcz of US fiscal policy. Again you're a dumbass who spews the same propaganda in every thread. Every country in the world saw inflation under biden
You post some of the dumbest ****. Grocery prices at record highs? Homes? Well no **** sherlock. We live in an inflationary economy. Tell me you know absolutely nothing about economics w/out telling me. The only thing you know how to do is scam medicare products to the elderly
Hey dumbass maybe you forgot but Trump ran on lowering grocery prices on day 1. Ground beef and other produce are skyrocketing cuz his dumbass tariffs on Mexican exports. This has nothing to do with "inflationary cycle." Nobody has been exposed as a bigger moron than you fake liberterians
[Educational Post] Here's what you are not grasping -- a well-functioning economy has a goal of around 2-3% inflation. Deflation (prices actually declining) is devastating for an economy, as consumer spending grinds to a halt as people simple wait for lower prices. Low inflation is ideal for prosperity. The rate of growth is critical. The rate of inflation is critical. Under Biden, inflation got as high as 9 percent. That hurts the working class the most, as a larger percentage of their disposable income goes toward the necessities in life. Trump has restored a low rate of inflation to our economy, as he campaigned he would do. Promise kept. At any given point in time, in a healthy economy with low inflation grocery prices will be at their all-time high. Because prices go up little by little each year. Under Biden they skyrocketed, which is why the working class felt the pinch. So saying grocery prices are at all time highs is misleading -- they should be at all time highs in a good economy. Same is true for housing prices. Regarding people getting kicked off welfare -- it is only illegals and those who are physically capable but unwilling to work who may get kicked off. And there's an unwind period measured in years. So nothing is being sprung on people and all citizens willing to work will be taken care of. That is perfectly reasonable. Leveling the playing field for all forms of energy will reduce electricity prices as high cost renewables no longer get priority treatment and funding. Production of low cost forms of energy can now attract capital and increase supply, leading to lower prices. It's Economics 101. GOOD DAY
You keep spewing the same disinformation about how, "theyre leveling the playing field" but as I've told you a million times they have added extra tax on solar while giving extra subsidies to coal. In 40 years when China dominates the renewable industry it will be because of braindead MAGA like yourself gifting them the industry There's no point even debating the other talking points cuz youre just an idiot who spews the same garbage even after you've been shown its false. You do nothing other than repeat garbage you read on foxnews The funny thing is you actually think of yourself as intelligent when in reality you're just a idiot
Yes, that is leveling the playing field. Solar was receiving enormous subsidies and coal was penalized. So taking some away from solar and giving some benefits to coal serves to level the playing field. I can't believe this has to be explained to an adult! GOOD DAY
Conquist was king when he was a cameo appearance, this full time role has the special sauce plummeting precipitously
Coal was never penalized you dumbass. Coal was the most subsidized industry for decades much more than what solar was. Solar was only subsidized to match the subsidies which china was subsidizing their industry which is why they completely dominate the industry. For the first time in history we begun to manufacture solar panels in this country which you morons just destroyed. I just cant wait for future generations to realize we went to war with solar/wind just to prop up coal energy lol. MAGA is such a parasite on America that we dont even realize. I just cant believe that America is going to war with wind/solar while artificially proping COAL ENERGY. I cant wait for future generations to laugh at this dumbass period of time in America Dumbest electorate in the world
Wow -- what an uneducated statement by you! Coal was never penalized... except for not being able to get bank financing, having their end markets (power plants) shut down all across the world, being over-regulated out of business, waiting years for permits, having their customers pay exorbitant carbon taxes, and the government doing its best to discourage investment in the space. There has been a global public relations campaign against coal for around 15 years... The government literally tried to end the industry. That is anything but a level playing field. You are extremely uneducated. Shockingly dumb, to the point where you stand out in a crowded field of liberals here! GOOD DAY
