3.75 bpg so far for Houston's own DJ Jordan to lead the league...Almost a full bpg more than the second leading shot blocker. Honorable mention to the Haitian Sensation who's in the top 5 as well. On a side not, as most of you know, Kyle Lowry leads the NBA in assists, but he's also tied for #1 in spg. It's only a handful of games into the season so we'll see if these numbers are sustainable over the long-term, but it doesn't look like the Clips overpaid for Jordan as some individuals on Clutchfans suggested. http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics
It's so early. I consider basketball per game averages to be meaningless until at least 15-20 games have been played.
DeAndre Jordan still leading the league in blocked shots...after 6 of them tonight in the Clips big win over the Heat.
Contrary to popular ClutchFans belief I said he was totally worth his contract. I think he's worth every penny of the contract he got and maybe more.
He deserves to have that one count as a block simply based on the fact that he went to block it with one hand and miss yet still had the hangtime to block it with the other hand.
He reminds me of a poor man's version of Camby. Great help defender but not a reliable one on one defender
As though Clutchfans is the only basketball forum that puts out an opinion on contract signings? I think its less about if his upside was worth it, and more that he did have a bit of potential "bust factor" to NOT be worth it since DeAndre is not known as a hard worker. A likely "contract year" type
That's relative. I don't think he is worth his contract but I think he is worth overpaying for if the other option is losing him. And the trade for Paul makes it a no-brainer. leebigez,I have the feeling you are righteously making fun of somebody but I can't resist the urge to say that I'd take 6 charges over 6 blocks in any game. Charges are still the better stat, although not the best approach in most situations.
