I’d hate to think we’re that bad defensively on such a crucial play this late in the season, unless that’s an uncalled moving screen/tackle by Gobert on Rivers...

An even bigger question is are the Warriors still allowed to set moving screens throughout the game, because if so, no team stands a chance:

Andrew Bogut is a human moving screen.

If they're going to set moving screens, you have to embellish the contact. Force the refs to call something.

I honestly don't know if those are considered moving screens/illegal picks. It's so hard to tell in today's NBA with what is ignored most the time. Like on pick n rolls, they could call a moving pick 90% of the time, it seems.

If Bogut tries to set one of those moving screens on Tuck he's gonna get mowed down

The Rockets need to make sure its a point of emphasis with the refs, since you know the Warriors are going to be complaining about stuff the Rockets do too. That Gobert moving screen at the end of game 3 has to be a whistle. The Warriors are indefensible if they're allowed to do stuff like that.

The Rockets should study how Kyle Lowry deals with moving screens. He's a master at drawing fouls on them.

Why do you think they hired Bogut back?

This is the whiniest fanbase and roster I have seen in 20+ years supporting this team. We might set the most moving screens in the NBA, and we learned it from the Warriors in Dwight's final season. Here's another amazing fact: most teams that make it to the Finals set a lot of moving screens. These teams are trying to create a small advantage, and veteran teams are good at it.

This fanhood is optional guys, if you think the whole f*cking basketball universe is conspiring against us, just step away. Your mental well being is not worth it.

The Rockets don't rely on it as much as the Warriors, since so much of their offense is predicated on Harden going 1-on-1.

Like you say, teams will try to create any small advantage they can -- and that includes erasing an advantage the other team is trying to exploit. It's a chess match. There's also a balance to it, because if you overdo it with the complaining, both the refs and the league will tune you out.

And there's so much chatter out there about the stuff Harden does to gain an advantage over the opponent, which could also impact the series. It would be negligent on our part not to point out things the Warriors do as well.

Bogut is a particular egregious example though. PJ moves on his screens. So does Clint. Very few guys stand completely still when setting a pick. But Bogut is continuously moving to the point where he'll back up and push a player out of the way with his backside to free up the Warriors' shooters.

This is gonna be a huge issue for us unfortunately. Bogut looks like in peak 2015 moving screen form. Our only hope is that the more games he plays he gets tired and sloppy with his technique.

We should try to flop on his screens as much as possible to try and draw the fouls. Bogut's moving screen technique is the best I've ever seen, he somehow has a "gentle" aspect to his screens which tricks the refs into thinking that the defender is moving him when it's actually he that is moving and blocking out the defender. It's truly impressive.

one of the main distinctions is that teams like the rockets slide on a lot of their screens to set up a play (PnR) or simply detach the defender from their literal adhesive bond to harden. while the worriers entire offense prior to katie's arrival was predicated on getting shots directly off of moving screens. all game long. and even now when things go sour for the worriers offense, as witnessed in games 6 & 7 last year, kerr immediately reverts back to moving screens.

regarding the whole bball universe being against us.. the timeslots for the first round matchups are pretty telling of where the league office and disney know their bread is buttered. worriers always primetime, rockets always nightshift. regarding fanhood being optional and mental well being, sorry bro but you are out of line here.

That Gobert fake stumble backwards would of really upset me if Donovan made that and we ended up losing the game.

Listened to locked on jazz, and he was practicing that exact shot and not missing during wsrmups apparently.

Bogut acts like his is stumbling to disguise his moving screens. He clears out defenders better than a pulling guard.

They mastered the moving backward or same direction as opponent, which technically is allowed. Those hip checks are illegal though.
