So, I graduate school in 4 months, at which point I'll be moving out on my own. Because of this, I'm trying to buy like one big thing a month or whatever, so that I'll have some things right away. Anywho, I was out looking tonight, and I found a queen bed frame on clearance: Regular 275 bucks, I got it for 40. I also found a really nice solid wood computer desk on clearance: Regular 220, I got it for 40 bucks. BUT,I had 30 dollars in gift cards, so after tax, I payed 56 bucks for 500 dollars worth of furniture. Deal of the century? I think so. What's the best bargain deal you've ever found?
From Beachcamera.com I got a 46" LCD Samsung currently listed at $2200 for $1000 during a Superbowl sale and an online coupon. No tax. No shipping. And since I live in Manhattan, and they are in Jersey, they had a delivery service drive it over in 24 hours.
ummm..... i just picked up a $130 cloudveil fleece pullover from REI for $35. i put that more in the "deal of the month" category, though.
That's nothing. I scored thousands of dollars from a nice guy in Nigeria. He's putting money into my banking account right now.
Once I got a Panasonic DVD/CD home theater surround sound system valued at $499 for $199. I was reading the Circuit City ads and saw the system for 199 and called up my local store. Of course they said it was a misprint and it was really 499. I said horse hockey you should value the price listed in your ad. If you made a mistake too bad you have to honor it. Well, they didn't honor it, but I took said ad to Best Buy and got them to "price-match" and got the exact system for like $300 less. 'Twas a great deal but more of a conniving way to screw BB.
Once in Houston I bought a box at auction for $15- and sold it for $900- But I wish I now had the box as it is now worth nearly $1200 .
I don't buy much stuff, so most recent deal was when the girl found me a $200 Sorel lined waterproof windbreaker for $30 at Ross about a year ago.
