Sounds like DD had been going around the locker room telling everyone how he was going to put up 250 yds this week and end all the talk about Reggie Bush coming here. McNair decided he couldn't take that risk and told Dominick he has to have surgery. Smart move. ;)

Honestly I haven't heard anything about him having surgery, but I just got home.

It's true.. Here is the info from Yahoo Sports

Dec 28 Davis has decided to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his troublesome knee, ending his 2005 campaign. The Texans' running back, who has been battling inflammation and soreness in the joint nearly all season, has missed four games overall with the injury, including the last two. He finishes the year with 976 yards and two touchdowns on 230 carries, as well as 39 receptions for 337 yards and four scores in 11 games.

Advice: Jonathan Wells will handle the majority of the touches out of the Texans' backfield in Sunday's season finale against the San Francisco 49ers. Davis is expected to be fully recovered by training camp next summer.

Hmm. Maybe we should consider drafting a running back in the draft if DD is having knee problems. Not sure if there are any good candidates out there or not.

Well that probably erases any thoughts about us trading him this off season.

It also shows that the Texans MAY select Bush. That is key since teams are afraid that we would pick him.

I hate Davis couldn't get that 3rd 1,000yd season. This might be his last season to put up big time stats with the Texans because of you know who.
