With all the good deals, like a 200GB Hard Drive for $50 and a progressive scan DVD player for $18, I'll definately be waiting outside stores in the early morning to get the good deal items. Who else will be going to get good deal stuff on that day? If you don't know that items are on sale, this website has a list of them. http://www.bf04.com/
Are you nuts? WTF would anyone want to deal with the traffic, parking, and crowd hassles? The sales will continue until Christmas, why the rush? I'm gonna lay on my ass, eat leftovers, drink beer, watch football. It's my day off, why spend it fighting crowds?
I'm going to sleep late and sit around reading or visiting family. Not to mention that I need to be practicing a bunch of music on my keyboard anyway. The stores are about the last place I'd want to be, especially at the time you have to get up and go. (I also hate crowds.)
Thanks for bring this to my attention. I will also be celebrating (unless I need to make a liquor store run )
Having worked in a mall on Black Friday last year I can honestly say you all suck! Stay home and lock up those display destroying, tantrum throwing, rug rats! Oh and have a happy Thanksgiving!
I gotta work all day. But it's considered a holiday, so I'll be getting double time and a half for 12 hours. Thank you collective bargaining.
Exactly, also, I don't think I've ever seen anything on sale that is just such a rock bottom price that I would get my happy butt up that early in the morning. I also worked retail for 4 years as a manager, don't anymore, and I can tell you it is pure insanity, last thing I wanna see now is more crazed crowds punching biting and pushing, hell I'd think I was in Detriot.
Let's see. From my original example. 200 GB Western Digital HDD. From one of the best online stores, newegg.com $111.50 from Office Max on day after, $50 + taxes = about $56 Plus, it's retail box version, so there's 2 more years of warrenty. Savings, $55.50 Maybe the savings are negligible to you, but they certainly are not to me.
Ugh, I can't stand Black Friday. Hordes of people getting in line at ungodly hours just to save a few bucks. I'd rather spend the extra money to buy what I want at a normal time without getting in fights with people. Seriously, I don't see the appeal whatsoever.
Heading to Cartoys to get me a Kenwood MP3/WMA cdplayer for $99 and free installation. ANd going to buy a couple of subs etc too for my truck. ALso picking up a copy of Family Guy Volume 1 (seasons 1 and 2) for $17.99. I remember someone was looking to buy a Game Boy SP, Fry's has them for $59.99 with 2 free games.
Buy nothing day? What does this mean? I mean eventually you NEED to buy something, just not on a particular Friday?! Either way you are just putting off helping whatever companies you think you're hurting until another day. I mean just boycot the companies for your entire life if you really mean it....not just on one day. Sorry, me thinks thats silly! These same people wait until Saturday to totally gorge out American style, super Galeria shopping spree for us one day later. uh, yeah. Buy nothing day.?! BTW, I'm getting a Reciprocating Saw for 15.99 at 8:00am Friday at Harbor Freight Tools here in San Antonio. Am picking up a digital caliper for my friend for 11.99 as well
I may be going to Fry's at 6 in the morning. I love sales and looking through ads from Best Buy and the like, looking at electronics that I know I can't afford. Maybe I'll just head on down to the stores to do absolutely nothing but look.
