I don't know but I feel the bigest lost is his tuch for rockets.
If he can shot like last season or even his career average, we are not so bad right now. We need find someone to replace him.

I think he helps out Yao a lot because out of all our other guards, he's the best shooter. Doesnt say much for him but it helps our team out a lot.

He's most likely out til the rockets secure the #7 pick in the lotto.

I think his shot is ok when he gets to play in position, and prob also helps if he's not forced to play nearly 40 mins every game.

Still, next yr he'll be a little older and I don't recall him being too strong off the bench. If he can't help next year this will really hurt us. We have enough other shoes to fill in the summer.

I would like to see him retire or move elsewhere. He struggles do desperately it is hard to watch. He has just slowed down to the extent that he is "outquicked" on a regular basis. He is the Rocket's best "role-player" shooter which isn't saying much. Very inconsistent. He might be o.k. logging a few bench minutes, but he is not starter material anymore.

While I agree he is hardly an all-star, I think Wesley is more "starter material" than any other player we have outside of Yao and T-Mac. He brings shooting and toughness. He may get outquicked sometimes, but he never gets outmuscled at his position.

In my opinion, he's been a bright spot this season. If you're going to pick on struggling, inconsistent players on the Rockets you could start just about anywhere else (Swift, Howard, Alston, Head, Bowen, Bogans).

He has a few good runs this season, but he has had some long slumps. I think he has just reached the age where he cannot be effective with starter minutes. We need a bigger, faster SG who is a consistent shooter. I am not picking on him, I said he was the best of the role-players, but, I admit, that is not a supreme compliment.

Wesley was a very good outside shooter ten years ago but now is in his declining years and with the game moving towards more athletic and taller shooting gurads David is now at a great disadvantage , where as just upto a few seasons ago he was one of the best defensive two guards in the NBA.
This creates a need for fresh thinking. See below......
