I was browsing through our rockets.com website, heaven forbid. But yeah i was just skimming through the roster and it says that Tracy and David are our team captains. I guess that would make it sort of difficult to start Head then wouldnt it? Hey team captain, how bout you come off the bench.

But at any rate Wesley played a great game last night, shooting 4 for 5 and giving us a great start to the game. It was apparent though that he was not quick enough to keep up with Bibby. You could feel the surge of energy when Head stepped into the game. Penetraging and dishing to Swift who smartly dished off to Yao. Just creating his own shots without a conscience like Mike James used to do.

I think we should hang onto Wesley, once Sura and Rafer get back our holes in terms of quickness and playmaking should be solved or at least mitigated. Its obvious that hes a locker room leader, I bet he brings a lot more to the table then we see.

WEsley and Tmac are the team captians. THey are the vets and deserve that title. I hope Barry and Alston get back soon cause we need the depth they add. Go Rockets!!!

I thought that what JVG meant by hard decisions and the changes he was talking about was that it would be difficult (emotion wise) to trade vets like DW and JB that helped us so much last year to turn this season around.

Glen Rice was once our team captain and he did not have to play that much.

Btw, how about Moochie Norris as team captain? He is a good locker room/chemistry guy. Plus, he has experience,

Hmm, then why not Howard as well if thats the case. Hes a vet who seems like he would be a good leader. It just seems random and out of place. Why not throw Yao into a leadership position. How can you expect him to have that fire if someone like Wesley is captain and not him. If Yao and Tracy were team captain I think itd definitly give him a little encouragement to be vocal. Cause then itdbe his team hes chewing out. Humble chinese guy or not. He wants to win...

Team captains actually matter in soccer. In basketball, nobody gives a damn. If you're a leader - that's great. If you're not - well, a title isn't going to make you one. It's kind of like getting "Employee of the Month" at Wal-Mart, or something.

I don't think the Rockets really have an ideal team leader. McGrady is more of a "lead by example" type. Yao is too passive. Barry is too quirky (and doesnt' play enough). Wesley is too silent. Nobody else really merits consideration.

Sura's a good leader, though, when he's available.
