Cavaliers Close To Deal With David Wesley 16th July, 2006 - 4:32 am The Morning Journal - The Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly close to signing David Wesley to a deal, possibly close to what Flip Murray got with the Pistons (two years, $3.6 million), The Morning Journal is reporting. Wesley, who will be 36 in November, would probably be an effective player if he played around 20 minutes a game. Should Wesley join the Cavaliers, Damon Jones may be on his way out So, what does this mean for us? We lose another player but does anyone think we will try to replace Wesley? Do you guys think the Rockets management is done with moves for the off-season?
Sounds good to me, his better years are behind him. I wish him the best of luck but as for the rockets being done, I doubt it.
It's like he becomes money from the 3 point line when open and burns us for 28 points then we'd probably start making threads on how Van Gundy doesn't bring out the best in his players but anyway wish u do good and thanks for not comin back to the Rockets.
Yep. Adios muchacho! & what (sorta) dark years they were. Bring in the new blood. Breathe in the air.
I liked Wesley and I wish him the best in Cav-land. But in response to your post; Van Gundy doesnt bring the best out of his players. In fact it wasnt until T-mac made up his mind that he didnt care what JVG thought that he finally started to turn things around two years ago. Inorder to make it under JVG you have to be self-motivated, or you will find yourself sunk like so many around him. Sure he motivate on D, but he has NO clue about what it takes to coach winning, exciting, and motivated offensive basketball. Go ahead and play your defense but in order to win, you have to be able to draw up a play that will put the ball in the hole. I have yet to see this kind of game from Jeff. Oh well, I guess Im done.......Good Luck Wes.
