The rockets are in need of a pure shooter and I think Wesley can knock em down with the best of them. Also, he can run the point which leaves Steve to be the 2 guard.

Wesley has the vet experience and averages about 2 TO's per game. On the hornets, he plays the 2 guard but he can run point efficently as well.

Wesley cannot board like Mobley nor can he black like Mobley but then again, why would he need to?

Wesley shoots .45 from beyond the arc and he is definitely more disciplined than Mobley when it comes to shot selection.

    Not a bad Idea.

Who do the Hornets get? Straight up Cat for Wesley? I'd hope we could pawn him for more...but maybe the book is out on Cat. I'd like to pick up a pick or Magliore or something else, too, for Cat +. Let Cat run with Baron and see how the jack happy game works there.

Yeah, Wesley maybe small but his heart is huge. With Ming, Wesley can knock down those wide open looks.

He's got nothing over Cat. Usually Cat is the one shooting 45% from the three point line but this year it's Steve which is probably just an aberration. As far as scoring goes, Cat is a much more gifted scorer and is also capeable of getting out on the break and making much more athletic plays in transition. Our problem of not having a true point guard to complement Steve would not be solved either with Wesley being mainly a scorer. Overall I would easily rather have Steve and Cat over Steve and Wesley.

I am not so sure about CAt's shot selection sometimes. I think Wesley would play well with Ming and Francis. B.Davis and S.Francis are very compariable and Wesley plays well with Davis. Also, Ming and Wesley would be a good tandem, with Ming as a pick, Wesley can pop right up for the jumper.

I know that Mobley is more talented than Wesley but Wesley's definitely smarter and is a pure shooter. Mobley can penetrate but so can Francis. I think Wesley and Francis would be comparable to Davis and Wesley.

It won't happen, coz Mashburn will veto the deal.
Cat's addtion implies he won't be able to touch the ball he 's been getting. Mash is the go-to man for Hornets, his words will be counted.

If Wesley's such a good point guard, why has Robert Pack been getting some of the starts while Baron Davis is out?

Wesley could be a good backup guard and is a smarter player than the Cat but he shouldn't be a starter at the 2.I wouldn't trade Mobley for him.

yes, wesley is more reliable as a shooter, but he's older than mobley. i wouldn't make the trade if i were the rockets.

Would Wesley have enough room to race his Porsche though?

Wesley cannot run the point. That's a fact.

Yep, but there is a character question to be considered. The Cat is a much better fit for the Rockets.
