Well you knew that was coming, with Vince Carter out. Now the west & the east have 3 pg's each in the game. Baron Davis has been added to the east team, and ahead of many players probably more deserving.

Nothing against Baron, but I am getting sick of seeing him all over NBA.com. Has anybody else notice the SLAM DUNK preview. They show 4 screens, 4 different dunkers and no Steve Francis in any. They show previous dunk performances, and no Steve Francis - but they did give Baron Davis about 3 different shots.

Whats up with Stern? First the goodwill games, the tribute to Sept 11 (baron about 3 times a game nationwide), the slamdunk contest, and Baron gets a free ride to the all star game. I think Cato received more votes than Baron did.

I wonder if a SF were injured on the west, and Francise did not make the team, if Stern would of given Steve (a PG) the nod. Nothing against Baron, but I dont think Steve gets his dues.

I don't understand the hype either. Davis seems like a good pg with plenty of potential, but he doesn't seem like an all-star. Good ballhandling, not a terrible shot, can dunk really well. The same things could be said of Lamar Odom or Darrell Armstrong.

What a f$*#ing joke

I've never really been a Stackhouse fan, but his team is 5 games above .500, he is averaging 23.5 pts and 5.2 assists, and he's much closer to a Vince Carter replacement in terms of position and style of play than Baron freakin Davis.

This is clearly and shamelessly a marketing decision by the league office.

*as always, IMHO - pls do your own due diligence*

 Oh yeah! I forgot about Stack! He was pissed before, but now he has to be irate! Stack is an All-Star. I can't believe he wasn't picked. Man. Not to mention I still won't forgive BD for posterizing Eddie. That was nasty. :D

Well, I guess 18pts and 8asst isn't anything plus your team is .500 without their leading scorer. Every yr someone gets screwed over a spot. Walker shouldn't have made it before Pierce, nor Dike before j.O'Neal but it happens. Even after people pull out, some players should make it don't.

Cassell should've made it over Baron and Dre.

Dre didn't make it because his team sucks and the east is loaded w/ guards.
