DD has a very good basketball iq and I have been reading his transcripts from usatoday. here are some rockets/yao questions he replied to:

Søren, Copenhagen, Denmark: Hi Mr. Dupre. I watched the Rockets-Sonics game on sunday. The game was televised on one of the national danish channels. What a complete waste of time. I've been reading about it all year long, but it's actually true. Steve Francis doesn't pass the ball to Yao. Yao is posting and posting but still doesn't get the ball. I admit that Yao didn't have a great game, but how can a coach accept, that his franchiseplayer (not Steve Francis!!!!) does not touch the ball. It would drive me crazy, personally. What are your thoughts? Kind regards Søren

David DuPree: Hi Soren (sorry, my computer won't allow me to put the line through the o in your name to spell it correctly). It is driving Rockets' coach Jeff Van Gundy crazy, trust me. He is working with Francis trying to change his game, but it isn't an easy process. The kid is very talented, but changing your game when you have played one way your entire career, isn't easy. Yao is amazing and I honestly feel that in a couple of seasons he will be the most dominant player in the league. Francis can help him get there and Van Gundy knows this. That's one reason he has been so patient.

Cary, North Carolina: Yo David, Will there be a DuPree Bobblehead anytime soon? Hey, two teams have quietly been moving in the team rankings--Houston up and Washington down. I know Houston lost to San Antonio recently, but Yao & Crew are peaking at a good time. But the Jordanless Wizards are tubing southward. Can the Rockets make a grand move as playoffs loom and is there any hope for Washington?

    David DuPree: Yo
There is always hope for Washington -- next year. The Wizards just need to be patient and not trade Kwame in a panic. I love Yao and the Rockets, I think they are a solid playoff team, especially the way they play defense. And lastly, no, there is no DuPree Bobblehead in ther works, at least there better not be.

Jason B, Cincinnati: Mr.Dupree, Did I read what I thought I read? Did you say in a couple of years you think Yao Ming will be the most dominant player in the game. Come on! Yao has great skill on the perimeter for a guy his size. But I believe that he's soft in the paint (as are most foreign born players) and lacks the toughness necessary to be dominant. I don't see any killer instinct in him and I don't know if that can be taught by coach Ewing. Don't you think if he had said toughness, he would "Demand" the ball from the smaller yet talented players on his team such as Steve Francis?

    David DuPree: Hi Jason
Yes, you read right. I know that puts me out there on a limb. I didn't say he'd be the best player, but the most dominant. That title belongs to Shaq now, but he'll probably be gone in three or four years. Yao is still learning, and things like demanding the basketball come with experience. He'll develop a killer instict. Give him time and we'll talk about this again in two years. Okay?
