    That's hyperbole though. I loves me some Britcoms, but they churn out a bunch of crap too.

    Name one current British sitcom that's funnier than anything on American TV right now.

    We only see the very best stuff over here so we don't get a full idea of everything they make.

    I guess it's not technically a British comedy, and I agree with you that Curb Your Enthusiasm is a hilarious TV show, but it just seems like quality comedic television is far more common in the UK (The Office, The IT Crowd, Extras, The Thick of It, etc.)

    The IT Crowd is possibly one of the funniest shows ever, but its a shame they only have like 6 eps per season.

    I think that's our answer right there. The UK seems to go for quality, whereas we go for quantity.

    The BBC version of The Office was also 6 episodes per season.
