I said we needed 4 games before making an initial assessment of Carr. The poll speaks for itself and will expire Thursday afternoon. Comment welcome.
Good thing we don't have a thread that is exactly about this already in the forum. Nice poll by the way.
I realize we have the thread but I can't add a poll to it. This thread will live for a couple of days then die.
We'll know a lot more in four more games from now. But my vote is the same as it was last year and the year before that. He's proving me right. He's no Peyton Manning, but he's no Ryan Leaf either. He'll be good to great, and the Texans should concentrate on getting a great running game and a solid OL. Then, they will be something special to watch.
Has he improved, yes, but he is still prone to silly mistakes that shouldn't be happening... Is he a bust, probably not...He can be helpful somewhere and is definitely better than most, but can see him as a back-up...
Offensive line still can't block for longer than 3 seconds... So the fact that he keeps getting up after every hit... sack... knockdown, says a lot for his determination.
Not sure...you should have had an incomplete selection..something like: Improving but the jury is still out.
wow. what fairweather fans. would love to have seen the results of this poll a few weeks ago. or even 2 days ago.
Yep. I've got a couple of threads bookmarked where people are ripping Carr to shreds and calling for his replacement.. Wonder how many of them voted for option 1 in this thread...
He's getting better and we can all see that...the one thing that has stayed a constant is a crappy O-Line. BUt the fact that we are opening up the field and actually going downfield with some passes is working well. THe offense is improved, no improve the O-Line and We will see some better results. Oh and on a side note...get some defensive help.
need to trade him, he is not going to get any better with the texans, could do well with another team.
At least me, but I don't know if I've ever called for his replacement since I thought the Texans would just break any QB. I'm surprised at how well he's been able to do this season as I expected he'd have happier feet.
Management made the right decision keeping him. They made the right decision not drafting a QB (despite how much I really wanted them to take Cutler) Now what they did do with that pick, well, the jury is still out.
