Here's an article I wrote about my fellow countryman David Andersen. I had high hopes for him coming into the season and so far, he's lived up to my expectations. Of course he could rebound better, and he probably shouldn't be taking three-pointers unless we really need them, but overall I've been impressed when he's been given the minutes to contribute.

Like his teammates, he's playing his role in a team of role players. Who says you need an All-Star to win? The Rockets are looking good despite being discounted by all as usual!

Andersen is going to keep getting better as he acclimates to the NBA.

Andersen has been holding back his abilities till the Lakers game. That way he receives great publicity.

andersen was automatic from 18 feet last game. he is a surprisingly good shooter and i dont mind him taking 3s at all. hes like a skinny okur with post moves.

Nice article. I like Andersen and believe he will continue to play a critical role for the Rockets in the future. He brings a scorer's mentality to the team and is not afraid to shoot, even while in a slump, as was evident in the beginning of the season.

I think a lot of people were down on him due to some early on lackluster performances however as he begins to understand the NBA and gets comfortable with the team, we'll be seeing al ot more 19 pt games in the future. His defense has held up pretty well too; he's not a pushover (bonus!)

I don't think he's quite used to the NBA 3-point line just yet, so I'm not entirely comfortable with him shooting that far out yet. Though, once he gets acclimated to it more, he should go balls to the wall.

"Indisputably one of the best big men in Europe". That's a total exaggeration.

That's reminded me of Yao Ming's rookie year.

I love Andersen, do you know why?

Because thanks to him, there are more rockets games broadcasted in Australia

each with the tag line "watch our own David Anderson lead the Houston Rockets against the Dallas Mavericks this Wednesday night at 8pm"

One of the signs that makes me think he is adjusting to the nba physicality is that he is'nt losing he's feet so easy on defense in the post. he used to fall all over the place after a couple of body hits in the post. now he is doing a much better job with keeping he's feet.

Now if he can start rebounding like a genuine 7 footer should, he'll be perfect.

Made me laugh too, esp. since I imagined it being said with an Aussie accent.

Haha, I had the exact same reaction when I saw the advertising on ONE HD channel.

At first I was amazed they would show a Rockets game in Aus when they aren't even going to show a national game in the states.

Hotblooded, where are you from in Aus? I'm from Sydney.
THEN I heard the commentating on Andersen LEADING the rockets. I started to ROFL!!

ONE HD is a totally awesome for Australia.

    Okay that's kinda disrespectful...

Anyway, give DA some time. I think we got another Scola on our hands if we'll only be a bit more patient.
