That's the best article on Dream's point of view I've seen. One of the few with more than just a single quote or sound byte. As for the re-signing, I don't think anyone is suggesting at this point that the Rockets might re-sign him. A 4 or 5 game stretch does not warrant another year in my opinion. Let's ride out the year, see about getting Chris Webber and then see if Dream would like to be part of that mix if he keeps up his level of play. ------------------ "We're growling more...I would not say it's a growl. It's not a purr either." -- Rudy T.
Why not? It only took a few pre-season games for the rockets to give Cato all that money. ------------------
If Dream could average only, say, 13 and 8 for the rest of the season, the Rox would be stupid to cut him loose after the season, unless they used the cap space for a CWebb. Of course, I'm still predicting an injury before then. Please let me be wrong. ------------------ In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock.
6-9? ------------------ "Clinton lied. A man might forget where he parks or where he lives, but he never forgets oral sex, no matter how bad it is." -- Barbara Bush
Yeah didnt you know when you got old you started to shrink! ------------------ President of the why in the Hell isnt Langhi playing club!!!
Yeah, it is pretty hard to take anything Aldridge says seriously after that blunder. I mean, most people will admit that Hakeem is not a true 7 footer like he is listed, but he certainly isn't as short as 6'9"! Maybe he only said that comparing him to Mo Taylor, who I think is a little taller than 6'9". ------------------ "Happiness is a journey, not a destination. Work like you don't need money, love like you've never been hurt, and dance like no one's watching."
Dream is probably closer to 6-9 than he is 7-0 But like someone on ESPN said, now a days it is better to go with a good 6-9, 6-10 guy who can play instead of the 7-2 guy who couldn't put it in the basket for a million bucks. ------------------ President of the Charles Barkley fan club...Oh he retired? When?
Maybe Olajuwon's shrunk an inch over the past couple years. People do that as they age, don't they? ------------------
What the hell is Aldridge talking about? Is he suggesting that because of Hakeems better play that the rockets are going to offer him a new contract thats going to pay him more than 16 million a year? Get Real! ------------------
