    Link to listening live

He is defending Rafer, which proves Morey can lie.

    :)

I just called in and talked to him about moving Tmac to the point...

    I heard that. Good question.

I'm a little surprised we haven't seen Artest at PF and added another shooter to the court yet. It would probably give us more spacing and fire power on offense, and Artest is strong enough to guard a lot of PFs. Rebounding would be the concern there, I suppose.

The Celtics game proved that we could use a big with quick hops to rebound, they were killing us on the glass.

Part of that was Yao's bad game, but we could use an athletic rebounder...maybe Dorsey someday?

Hmm...interesting that they considered playing Battier last night, but the doctors shut him down. I was thinking it'd be close to another month, but he may be back on this road trip (hopefully).

It may be common knowledge, but for those wondering, he voted Obama (or at least not for McCain).

Yeah, Morey said that Battier is more "mature" in that he wants to make sure he's healthy by the end of the year. That means he's probably capable of playing now, with some pain, but he's wants to ensure he's 100%.

That said, he hasn't practiced at all yet, and it will probably take him a while to find his rhythm. Remember, last year he said that he usually starts seasons slowly. After a long layoff, it might be midway through the season until we see Battier really hit his stride.

I think Battier's return may enable Adelman to finally play Artest as a shooting 4. Currently, when you move Artest to the 4, you leave your perimeter D vulnerable because there isn't another good wing defender on the squad (Tracy McGrady can be, but only when he tries, and certainly not when he's injured, after him, you have 37 year old Barry and 6'3'' Luther Head).

In any case, Battier's return should help the team a good deal, both offensively and defensively, by adding to the versatility of the team.

Maybe we should start Barry at PG, and have Ron or Shane defend the opposing team's PG. I'm actually curious how that would work.

Agree 100%....but if teams still leave a guy wide open to cover the other 4 and that guy can only hit 20% of his shots, Battier won't make that much of a difference.

Hasn't Adelman been concerned about the rebounding? Is it the reason why Landry playing the 4th quarter over Scola?

Scola is a very good rebounder...I would like to see Scola and Landry on the court a bit together...

Can we ask questions ? If so, ask him about why Luther, Wafer & Dorsey haven't been used.
