Darwin's theory on evolution is just a theory. The only "proof" is that things do change (evolve) over time but there is no proof that one type of organism changes into another type. e.g. a fish changes into a bird. an animal that lays eggs changes into one that doesn't etc...... I am undecided about my stance on evolution because there is no proof. Can anyone convince me either way?
all life on earth was created in a giant lab in the sky it's behind the moon and only the Pope can talk to God about it when a species displeases God according to Leviticus, he terminates them with extreme prejudice. then, if he feels like it, he creates something new and exotic to take their place. this is called the creation theory
There was nothing Then nothing exploded And the exploded nothing became something And the something that is the exploded nothing came alive? Does that sound better?
the evidence behind evolution is vast and complex, certainly above anything I could type on here if you are serious about learning bout evolution, search in google and read away! but to say there is no proof is ignorant..
I have actually read quite a bit on the topic. I do believe that things evolve (change) over time - but the theory that all things evolved from the same ancient clump of molecules is a theory. There is proof that over time a horses may be larger or develop bigger muscles etc... but no proof that a horse will start laying eggs or sprout wings
Oh NO! Worms adapting arrggggggg!!! Entering brain faster typing becoming defecult mustt fenesh my sfgdlaskgj;lkg---
Wish I had the cartoons to post...help me you photoshop guys-- Gary Larson-- One of my favorites is the one where he has cosmic playdough and is making "snakes" like we all did in pre-school; by rubbing the dough between you hands untill it forms a snake like form. God,"These things are easy"...hehehehe
I don't think I am being malicious. The part of the evolutionary theory that can't be proven is the "jumps". When one type of thing evolves into another type of thing. There has to be some point at which something hatched from an egg would have a live birth (or vice versa). also -- I am not the one calling anyone ignorant. I am truly interested in this topic.
hey i dont mean ignorant in a negative way, even though most people take that word that way, i was just saying that to claim "no proof" is being ignorant this should keep ya busy for a while... http://www.talkorigins.org/origins/faqs-mustread.html
evolution is a fact. people always take evolving to mean monkeys changing to humans or dinosaurs turning in to birds or humans turning into x-men. evolution does not mean that. evolution is when a species adapt to its environment thru a random genetic mutation that gives it an advantage. the species does not choose how its mutation will help or hurt it...the mutation is simply there. if it is of a benefit then that living being will survive and breed more with that mutation present. i am probably simply restating what you already know. anyhow...our direct proof of species changing from a dinosaur to a bird or something like that does not exist. we only have proof that species can evolve into other species that cannot reproduce thru what darwin discovered and what other people have discovered. we can only infer that species have evolved like that over millions of years. i guess the best proof that species can change like that is by looking at some amphibians (sp?) like legless lizards and such who's legs gradually became more vestigial parts of their body over time and they changed into something that looks completely different.
I may have changed my mind. I just saw a picture from the Rockets practice and I think Patrick Ewing is the missing link.
I like the one with the caption THE REAL REASON DINOSAURS ARE EXTINCT and it shows the dinosaurs smoking dope Rocket River
Personally, I like the comedy routine about God smoking dope and creating the platypus... Puff, puff.... "OK, let's take a beaver and put a duck's beak on it *giggle* then, we'll make it a mammal, but it lays eggs...LOL" Priceless. For bonus points, who used this material?
Darwin is just a scientific theory. Creationism is just a religious "theory". Teach science in science class, religon in religion class.
Excellent point. I've always been curious why so many people feel evolution and creationism are mutually exclusive. I mean, if you think God can create the universe, couldn't He also create a constantly evolving, changing universe? Seems that by denying evolution, you're putting limits on God's powers. But what do I know; I've gotta worm burrowing through my cerebral cortex.
