http://www.palmbeachpost.com/heat/content/sports/epaper/2006/11/12/a4b_perkins_1112.html Although he has shown potential, Darko's not nearly worth that much in my opinion.
Darko might be smoking crack, but maybe somebody dumb enough will sign him for that. Look at the Rockets and Kelvin Cato. We can do foreign twin towers! Yao and Darko! Run in fear!
Good luck on trying to get it. Hasn't done much and wants that much. Maybe the Knicks would give it to him.
LOL what on earth has he done to deserve 60 mil?? Bonzi couldnt even get 50 mil after a stellar playoff performance...
i dont think darko deserves that kind of extension unless he can put up at least 15pts 9 rebs and 2 blks a game. keep trying for that 60mil ext and you might end up on the rockets next year with a mere 2.1 mil
he was probably thinking he was the 2nd pick behind bron bron so therefore he should recieve just a bit less money will do
The sad thing is its not out of the realm of possibility that he'll actually get it, after proving nothing in the league. Nene somehow stole $60 million from the Nuggets after missing the whole season in his contract year.
Don't rule out Darko getting a ridiculous contract. Anything is possible for a "big man" today. But the fact he isn't even a starter works against him.
As a wise wag once proclaimed, 'You can't coach height.' Or the corollary that when you're tall you're rich; or the one about small ball is the future of the eNBeeAi.
with all these big contract to big men, i won't be suprized if magic actualy pays him that much. (see nene, kaman, chandler)
Darko, he's so hot right now That's a very cocky asking price for Darko. If Darko actually gets a taker, Bonzi should definately get that same agent.
Maybe there's a reason Darko never played in Detroit...could he be cocky and lazy? For a 7'2", 260 pounder with great athleticism he's a pretty crappy player.
He really needs to learn how to shut up and earn his due. It's been his biggest problem in the league, and got him off to a terrible start with Larry Brown.
